I've done A>B and B>A every month at $1k a piece (one transaction) for almost two years now. No issue.
Same address, different names, different SS#s, different bank accounts, sometimes same CC. |

Are you using different browsers with private browsing or different IPs?
I do the same. I switch it up from home, cell, and work ip address. |

Just to add some data. When you got shut down on accts, were you doing A>B>A? Or we're you mixing it with a third party? Also, were you using the same computer=IP signature for them to track you down on transactions?
I also was using the same IP for all transactions. I've started doing all me>spouse transactions from work, and all spouse>me transactions from home. We'll see if that makes a difference. |

It's fairly easy to change your IP address. I just change the last number in the MAC address in settings on my linksys router and it creates a new IP.
lol...................... |

I think what he means is changing his router MAC address will cause his ISP to see it as a new device and assign a new IP. Changing the MAC address on his laptop wouldn't do much. =P
I learn something new every day :D |
Look into a VPN if you want a new IP address. I've been doing this with 3 accounts for 3+ years with the same IP address. No problems for me.

I know with Verizon FIOS it was a PITA as you had to reset the ONT outside your house to get a new one. With Charter.... Yeah.... Screw that. Had to call like 5 times to finally fix that issue after releasing the IP.

up until today I thought MAC address was assigned to each networking device and could not be changed since it is embedded in the hardware.

Since it was an actual error on Amazon's part, I'm trying to get them to cancel it and send the money back to my account so I can withdraw it.

Update in case anyone runs into this bullhonkey in the future: Amazon's going to unwind the gift card and mail me a check for $1k. They say it could take up to 5 weeks but hopefully will be quicker.
