I still had some funds in my AP account when it was shut down. Luckily, it still allowed me to withdraw funds to my bank account but not send or receive money.

Basically, I'd use their name/SSN/DOB, but I'd use a separate email address and a separate bank account to link to the AP account.

A) Sister A's name/SSN/DOB + [email protected] + Bank A (mine) account
B) Sister B's name/SSN/DOB + [email protected] + Bank B (mine) account
C) Mom's name/SSN/DOB + [email protected] + Bank C (mine) account
D) Dad's name/SSN/DOB + [email protected] + Bank D (mine) account

In the end, I'd run it like this:
Me->(A)->(B)->(C)->(D)->Me
All payments sent would be from a different credit card.

Sound reasonable? Or am I asking for a visit from Bezos?

so you can link your bank and CC under different ppl's name?

I've been doing this exact same thing for six months now. No problems at all. ^

Doesn't the bank account name have to match the AP account holder name? I'm surprised AP would allow transfers if not.

Should work *if they concur*, but please don't do identity theft on your mother-in-law.:p

Just FYR, the Bezos headhunters might also ask for DL info. Think they use that to determine your weight and whether you will fit in their cook pot.:p

I have no shame in saying that I do that. I have several rewards programs (some miles, some not) that give me "free" points each month, but I need a list to remember which and when. Haven't missed one since.

I have quite an elaborate spreadsheet to track all my stuff.

Reminds when to send AP transactions and to and from which accounts.
Reminds me when to I have to make ice cream runs
Reminds me when I have to make PP transactions.
Reminds me when I have to pooh.

I haven't heard of the fourth mileage strategy ;)

AlohaDaveKennedy Jul 26, 2013 2:49 pm

Forget it - that strategy hasn't worked in a few years...

From Japan Airlines:

JALUX Americas is now offering members special prices on select models of the popular INAX Advanced Toilet Seat.

2,000 mile special double bonus campaign period: December 1, 2007 -May 31, 2008.

Am I understanding correctly that you would use one credit cad for Me->(A), and then a different credit card for (A)->(B), etc?

Anyone have any ideas for working down a high minimum spend for one credit card? I have a Citi card (so no VR's at CVS). Could I do Me->(A) with the Citi card and then (C)->(D) with the same Citi card#?

No - stick to different CARD NUMBERS. Think AMEX AUs, each with a unique card number, and Citi cards, each operating under many virtual card numbers.

Hobbitses is tricksy.

How do you get a "virtual card number" for Citi? My AU card has the same number as the original card. (PM if you like)
