Does DXB get Chef on call? Can't find it on the menu.

EDIT: Just received a (very prompt) reply from MH to say that it's not. Shame! Really liked the look of the beef rib, which I previously ordered on a flight to London, only for the stewardess to give it to another passenger

any recommendations ex-Sydney? I'm flying next month and I'm torn between the Trio Grill (GCC 10004A) or the Grilled Lamb Cutlet with Sage Sauce (GCC04004A)

Had the Beef Rib with Apple and Demi Glace on a recent trip (GCC03001A). Overall liked it, though the mashed potatoes, apple and vegetables were nothing to rave about.

On another, had the Roasted Loin of Lamb with Creamy Velouté (GCC04017B). Would skip next time, nothing memorable about it.

Same with the Grilled Fillet of Beef with Garlic, Chili and Coriander Sauce (GCC03021B), nothing special. Would have preferred to sleep and get something off the flight.

Will be on MH388/387 KUL-PVG, I assume it's gonna be breakfast for MH388 and lunch for MH387?

Any recommendations?

On July 4 @ 17:45 I was on MH0127 in I class (KUL-PER).
The Lamb Shank (ordered thru Chef on Call) was excellent. Nice libation selection too.
Excellent FA service as well.

The Lamb Shank on my Kul to Auckland trip in May was nothing to shout about..had it previously on my Del to Kul sector as well and was so so...

Satay was good.

FA services good as always.

Lobster tails ex CDG chewy. But waffles were OK.
The crew insisted I also have the Nasi Lemak, which was delightful.

Never rated the MH nasi lemak. Never will.

It is not good nasi lemak.

As a comparison, try the air asia nasi lemak and that's probably a hell of a lot closer to what nasi lemak should taste like.

ended up with the Trio grill which for some reason was just a bit of beef with a sausage, I wonder what happened with the third meat?
sidenote, plane was empty till a few days before flights, settled at around 60% occupancy with Row 1 vacant due to a weird smell, FAs were moving people from those seats.

yikes, talk about unappetising!

Was going to get the Omlette, but... then again, the waffle isn't all that interesting either. Nasi Lemak is OK, but nothing special.... hmmm.

Thanks for the photos, lcptek!
