I've stayed at and booked clients at RC, MO and Fullerton Bay...My personally impression, along with client feedback seems to lean towards Fullerton Bay more. It's a better location, newer hard product and great views from the pool. MO has a good pool, great views from Marian Bay Suite and the Club Lounge gets mostly positive feedback. However, it is long over due for an upgrade. The RC's pool is the worst of the 3 options here. RC's pool was updated last December when we visited and it's basically tucked away by the front entrance/parking area with some trees shading it. No views of the M Bay. RC Club Lounge in general doesn't do too much for me so I didn't use it much. Side note regarding RC Club: We just had a 10 hour stay at the RC San Fran and had club access, literally just grabbed two bottles of water and that was it...all food offerings looked like they've been sitting at a domestic airport lounge. St. Regis was our top choice in SFO.
Anyway, I'd say Fullerton Bay or MO would be my preferred choices (I know you mentioned you didn't like Fullerton Bay). Fullerton Bay offers an upgrade at booking up to the Premier Rooms and for MO, I typically get an upgrade at booking in most rooms or suites categories so your agent should be able to do the same. If you don't have one, I'm happy to assist.
Either way, hope you enjoy SIN! The hotel options are depressing but it's one of my favorite cities Cheers!

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll look again at the Fullerton bay, what is it that makes it so good? The pictures of the rooms I can find online make them seem very ordinary, and being so low rise the views aren't great (the suites look nice, but I can't afford that). And there don't seem to be any nice extras included like transfers, drinks, food etc. I do admit the pool looks fantastic though and the lobby is beautiful.

Here's the Virtuoso Amenities (but of course, you'd get similar amenities at MO or RC as well, if booking through a luxury TA):
- Upgrade at time of booking, subject to availability
- Daily Buffet breakfast, for up to two in room guests served in restaurant
- One Fullerton bear per room, per stay
- One Dining Credit of $100 USD equivalent per room, per stay (not combinable; not valid toward room rate; no cash value if not redeemed)
- Complimentary Wi-Fi for duration of stay
- Early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability

Hi all,
I have a divisive question to ask here (most of you will likely say it's a waste of money!). We are booked in Fullerton Bay for a few nights end May/early June, arriving off SQ (new suites ).
I am considering the VIP transfer service from the hotel (which is SGD $180 for E class or $250 for S class). I know this is expensive but I like the fact we get met off the plane, and transferred all the way through. In the grand scheme of the holiday expenditure it's not a lot, but compared to a normal transfer (e.g. taxi), it is.
So, what are the general opinions on whether it is worth it?

If it's the former, it's definitely a waste of money IMO. If it's the latter, I don't think it's great value, but I can definitely see how some people don't mind paying a premium for an arrival experience that couldn't be any smoother. (I used the service once several years ago and was reasonably impressed by the efficiency, but would hardly consider paying for it since SIN is quite efficient to begin with)

We are flying in on A380 so meet at gate, escort/assistance through customs etc.
Part of my thinking is experience/wow factor for my partner. I don’t think I could justify the S over the E but of the rest is a good experience, I don’t mind E pricing. Although we could get a Mercedes meet after baggage/customs for 1/2 the price.

So I guess the question is: does the experience of meet at gate justify the additional?

p.s. don't know what room you're staying in but we stayed at the Fullerton Bay Hotel in their Jacuzzi Premier Bay View Room and while it was great in some sense the Jacuzzi was basically useless..more like a cold plunge pool.

We are staying in the jacuzzi room. It’s quite expensive given there are only two.
Is the jacuzzi not useful? I would have preferred it to be cold given heat/humidity?

QUAYSIDE buggy, In-house immigrations and customs clearance
JETSIDE limousine transfer on the tarmac
when many on FT spend a lot on F and hotel, interesting not much discussion of using services to jump queues or avoid commercial airport terminal entirely, when many times F does not jump all queues

The whole point of a limousine for me is that it needs to be more comfortable than a taxi, and whilst clearly an E is superior to a lot of (though not all) taxis the S just has so many more features that make it more comfortable, if you’re spending $200 or whatever it is, may as well spend $250 imo.

I would choose Fullerton Bay every time out of those. It's a perfectly fine hotel with consistently good service and overall standard, unlike most 'luxury' properties in town. Someone in the industry told me because Singapore hotels have some of the highest average occupancy levels anywhere (fueled by rapidly growing inbound business travel, but also high rates of staycationing locals/expats) there is not much incentive to keep high service levels or for frequent renovations. The business is there anyway.

Thanks, Killian. I ended up choosing the Four Seasons. Maybe I should lower my liveliness expectations.
