Four Seasons Singapore rooms are old, dated, and depressing. I know there aren't many great choices in Singapore, but one can do better than FS.

The photos on their website suggest the rooms were recently refurbished:

I’m not convinced one really can do better. Of course that depends on one’s priorities, but for me I’ll take Four Seasons service and comfort over some of the other big name competition that are gargantuan monstrosities in my view.

Just being curious: Have you stayed on the Club floor at the Ritz Carlton and if so, would you still rank service at the FS more highly?

The upcoming Six Senses in Tanjong Pagar is in a fairly lively part of Singapore. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and the conservation shophouses lead to a very different vibe than Orchard.

Apart from the Fullerton Bay, suggestions for a family friendly hotel that’s suitable for a 5mo baby? Wondering if Sentosa has any good options?

We did Capella with a 16 month old and that was pretty good. They had a good babysitting agency and the baby enjoyed the pools (room and public). I’m just annoyed they charged us over 10SGD for a glass of milk for the baby.

We stayed at the Fullerton Bay Hotel in January, 2018. I found the rooms to be sumptuous, extremely comfortable with excellent service. I'm not sure why people are so negative about Singapore hotels. The FBH is well situated and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room on the first floor at water level facing the bay. The interior of each room is constructed with very high-end materials and the complimentary cell phone comes in handy.

Couldn't agree more. Just walking into the lobby depresses me.
