I booked the flight via Amex Travel. I'm wondering now.... will I have protection for the 2nd segment?

Yes, if it is all one one ticket you will be protected in case of a misconnect. A 0h45 D/D (Schengen) connection at FRA should be no problem if the first flight is on time.

This is most probably A to A. And it could also involve one or two bus rides. Buses require more time and they do drop you at the main area of the A pier. Still even a bus to bus connection would be possible in 45 min although it would leave no time for shopping or a visit to the lounge.

No issue if on a single ticket. If is a connection at the MCT and you will be protected & rebooked to the next available flight should you miss your connecting flight.

I have a 4 hour layover in MUC on the return trip so there'll be plenty of time for that on the way back.

Hey all:
Inbound on award F ticket on SQ25 from JFK scheduled to arrive at 9:50, outbound on paid Y on LH904 to LHR scheduled to depart at 11:00. When I spoke with the Singapore’s phone agents, they said that minimum connection time is 1 hour which matches what I saw online.
Looking at FlightAware, it looks like both are at the B gates. Will I need to go through security?
I might end up wanting to check a bag; do you all expect that to be an issue?

Make sure to check a bag through to LHR. The connection is too tight if you have to retrieve your bag and re-check.

SQ will check your bag(s) through on separate tickets/PNRs Singapore policy on interlining on separate tickets

You are not connecting. You are travelling on two separate tickets. If your inbound SQ flight is on-time you should be ok. But if it is delayed, LH will regard you as a no-show and you will have likely have to pay a penalty and/or buy a new ticket to LHR.

(LH) Worried about MCT
Hello everyone,
I need your help.
I just booked award tickets with Aeroplan last night and this morning I realized something that might cause issues.
We're leaving on LH471 (YYZ - FRA), and then getting on LH988 (FRA - AMS).
LH471 gets to FRA at 8 am and LH988 leaves FRA at 9:05 am. In theory the switch meets the MCT, however, when I looked at the stats, LH471 is constantly delayed by usually 40 minutes or so.
I don't mind running through the immigration, and the terminal to catch LH988, but if it does get delayed, I don't think there is any chance our luggage will make it to AMS with us.
Question:
In terms of Lufthansa, is their priority to get the passengers on the plane, regardless if their luggage makes it or not, or would they consider all these factors and just bump us to the next available flight to AMS (we don't mind taking the next flight).
I don't think it matters, but we're flying in J.
Thanks in advance for your help.

65 min in FRA is tight but doable. Your luggage will most likely make it. FRA is set up to be a transit hub...

I guess what I am trying to find out is how much delayed the first flight need to be, before they put me on the next flight.
This is our honeymoon and we really need our luggage as we are in AMS for barely 2 days and then heading towards Asia.

Question on the following connection.
Arriving at FRA from IAH on UA at 11:40 connecting to LH 1436 to LED at 13:35 on a Wednesday. If the flight to LED departs from the B gates, is best to use the tunnel from the Z/A gates to B and do the passport check twice or ride the Skytrain to the B gates and clear security?

Last week on a weekday I arrived in Z (arrival level) soon after 11am, cleared security in Z, went through passport control (e-gate) into A and later through the tunnel and passport control (e-gate again) into B with no wait at all.
Whichever route you take you should make the connection without any problem.

It’s a difficult question to answer. If you have a biometric passport and can use e-gates I’d go though the tunnel. If you can’t use e-gates or priority passport control (for *G and premium class passengers) I’d follow the official route and take the Skyline train.
Thanks. I do have *G status but my traveling companion won't be able to use the priority lane.

Understood. Will I have to clear security in Z as well? I was assuming it would be a passport check in A and then to the tunnel then passport check again in B.
