A challenge for the FRA gurus (or what can more accurately be termed a challenge for me, and probably no challenge at all for the gurus here):
A friend and I will be flying LOT from WAW-FRA on Saturday morning, with ~3 hours to spare before he flies off to SFO; I head to MUC about 30 minutes after him. I can’t get a read on what gates LOT usually arrive to; he’s likely to leave from the Z gates, and my flight appears to reliably depart from the A gates. Questions are:
- Where are we likely to arrive from WAW?
- If I follow my friend to the Z non-Schengen Senator Lounge, what would the process be for me to get from Z to A when we are ready to part ways?
- Would it be easier for me and equally difficult on my friend to instead use a Senator lounge in the Schengen area (which I assume would be accessible to us after disembarking from WAW without passport or security formalities), and for him to then migrate to the Z gates for his flight? I leave after him, so my preference is to follow him to Z then go to A, but if that’s ludicrous I’d be curious to hear what the alternative is.
Thanks all!

You could try and go through passport control to the Z non-Schengen Senator Lounge but you might be asked for a boarding pass. If you tell them you want to visit the Z Senator Lounge you might be allowed through but I'm not 100% certain.

I have a six hour layover in Frankfurt airport next Sunday (28th). Other than using a lounge (question asked elsewhere), i was wondering if i can purchase an overcoat? I'm going to Philadelphia and New York for a week, coming in from Delhi, India. The weather change is strong enough for the situation to turn comically tragic, very quickly, if caution is thrown to the wind (strong winds, i believe). I am not made of euros, but rupees, hence cheap options appreciated. The overcoat may see use on my next trip, or may not see any use at all (I have so far avoided winter visits to the cold climes, but now i no longer am my own master, sigh)

I second that option, if at all possible, do try to buy the coat in the US.
Or possibly in India. I don't know about the offerings in Delhi, but India does have some cold climates (Himalayas, anyone?) so there should be some offerings at least online.

I'm not quite sure how common this is, but I had a very nice experience today: arrived from SEA into a C gate with a 1h00 connection, and was not very enthused with the idea of trying to make it back to A. However, LH set up a tarmac transfer for us and a few other tight connections - we took a bus to a room in the bus terminal which had passport control, and then put us back on the bus and drove us right to the gate. Got there in time for *G boarding too

Very impressive the amount of information here. I'm seeking specific and general advice.
We are a family of 3 EU citizens (dad & 2 kids) and 1 non-citizen (mum). Does FRA allow parents without 'domestic' passports to get into the same security line as their families? That is possible at YVR and ICN, and I wonder if the trend has spread.
We will be flying AMS-FRA-YUL. I know the rule of thumb is 90 mins at FRA, but our kids are 4 & 7. Is an hour and a half going to suffice?
Thanks in advance!

I am flying DUB-FRA-DXB but I have chosen a connection that includes on overnight in Frankfurt, arriving approx 2200 and then departing the next day at 1400. Can I check my bags straight through? I know (or I think I do) that I can use night-before check-in at FRA which might be a better option anyhow.
Thanks

Your Air Canada flight to YUL will depart from a B gate, so on arrival from AMS in A, go down the elevator between gates A15 and A17, walk through the tunnel and go through exit passport control upstairs at the end of the tunnel. Passport checkpoints there are usually quiet and since your children won't be able to use e-gates there shouldn't be much difference if you use EU only lanes or all passport lanes, I would just go through one of the all passport lanes.

ok, here's one I'm not 100% sure about:
Flying to the US soon with LH (haven't book tickets yet, as I need to check something beforehand:
I'd ideally be flying LH 921 LHR-FRA (STA0905) in Y, connecting to LH 400 to JFK (STD1050) in J, carry on only.
It would be on separate tickets
As far as I understand from the wiki:
1. MCT in that case is 100 minutes, whereas my connnection time is 95. Doable or not?
2. Any chance of interlining the tickets in Altea?
3. As it's from non-schengen to non-Schengen, would it involve re-clearing security?
Thanks for your advice!
Edit: Eu passport holder w/ US visa if it helps

95 min at FRA for non-Schengen to non-Schengen should be ok. If no delay, you will make it to the JFK dept. gate in time, even if you have to get yourself from B gates to Z gates (just follows the signs). I assume that you are aware of the risks travelling on 2 separate tickets, so will not lecture you on this is.

What's the current MCT for Schengen connections within Terminal 1?
I have 45 minutes between WAW-FRA (LH1347) and FRA-SVQ (LH1140) on March 8 (arr 1125 - 1210 dep).
It's been quite a while since I transited FRA but as I don't have to exit Terminal 1 I'm hoping there won't be an issue. Can anyone advise on what the inbound/outbound piers/gates would be for these specific flights?
