Does the Maple Leaf Club sell one time passes? You would have to trek over to the B gates but might be an option given the length of your layover.

Lounge passes?
My uncle has a colleague with a M&M credit card who has some extra lounge passes she won’t be using that expire at the end of August. We need lounge passes for our 4:25 layover in FRA in August and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience using someone else’s passes to access a lounge. Is that possible? I’m not sure if it matters but we are UA Polaris IAH - FRA and on LH metal for our FRA - FCO leg, but everything was booked through UA. Appreciate the help!

We are only flying in J IAH - FRA so the only lounge we’re able to access in FRA is the welcome lounge but we get in too late to take advantage of it. Hence the need for an alternative and why these passes sound like a great idea if they’ll work.

Unless the lounge vouchers have a specific name on them, admit only Mr Smith.... for sure they will work

So just to clarify if I want to use the tunnel to get from Z to non-Schengen B, should I follow signs for the A gates first to get me into the Schengen zone, then head to the tunnel between A15 and A17, then walk to B via tunnel, then look for signs for the non-Schengen B gates?

My wife is flying FCO-FRA-NYC (either EWR or JFK) in J and then F. She doesn't know FRA and is not an airport aficionado or adventurer. She will either have a 2 hour connection if flying to JFK or 1 hour 10 minutes connection if flying to EWR. I'm concerned that 1 hour 10 minutes might be too short. She has a US passport. She doesn't care much about lounges unless it's real waiting time. She's not going to walk to the FCT. Thoughts/suggestions on easiest options? There are a few permutations here because it's possible or even likely that the flight from Rome will arrive at an apron location. If it were me, I'd just walk to the FCT but that's not happening. I guess the question is whether she should go to the B FCL or just straight to the gate. Thanks in advance.

I'm flying SEA-FRA-ZRH in a few days with an hour connection at FRA. The Lufthansa website says arrival will be at AEUW and the departure will be from gate A28. Am I correct in understanding there will be no transfer security, but I will have to go through passport control in FRA? An hour should be fine to make that connection right?

I would not worry about an hour connection. The one time I flew SEA-FRA-VIE on a 1h00 connection and had an arrival at a C gate, LH offered a tarmac transfer directly to the next flight (with a stop in a basement room to clear passport control into Schengen). Absolute worst case there are many more flights to ZRH.

Thank you. Do you think an hour 10 minutes for the connection is an issue with the B FCL option?

It’s quite a hike & then passport control...... a lot depends on which gate in A it arrives at , if it’s outside position piece of cake, hope for that or persuade Her to walk to FCT.

Thanks. So assuming FCT is not in the cards, I think the options are (1) if the flight from Rome arrives at an apron position, ask the driver to go the entry close to the B FCL (and from there they will drive her to the plane) or (2) if the flight from Rome arrives at a regular A gate, just walk directly to the gate for the flight to NY. Right?
