Welcome to Denver, I hope you had a good flight
Seriously, was it that bad? On a daytime flight, you don't really need the separate bed, do you? And the old seats are not that bad, are they?
Anyway, much better than any US Global-Flagship-International-Super-Duper First Class

Hi

Im flying New First, for the first time, on a A340-600 LAX-MUC (unless LH swap to old First again...) with my partner.
Is it possible to have dinner face-to-face on LH New First as on Swiss First?

Thx

It is possible but difficult. The table is quite small for 2 people. You will probably have a few drinks f2f and then go to your own seat for dinner, just to go back f2f for the after dinner drinks.

How often is DFW seeing new F?

Anyone know how consistently DFW gets the new F?

Not consistent. Probably 20%.

I have noticed that MCO always gets a 744 with new F - in contrast to DEN which seems to get a 744 with old F almost every day. I'm a bit surprised because MCO is more or less a "holiday" destination - can anyone throw a light on that?

Exactly, it is a Holiday destination for those in Germany / rest of Europe who visit the southern states during the winter so putting their best product on MCO makes sense (at least to me anyway).

I suspect not too many Europeans fly to Denver to ski in the winter when they pretty much live in the mecca of skiing when you consider switzerland, austria, etc.

It's good news for me since I almost always fly out of MCO. But yeah...when flying F on this route it is almost always 6/8 or more booked both ways. I'd imagine it is a popular destination with all of the major theme parks being in Orlando.

Yes, that's correct. DEN is LH's gateway to LAS with MANY award passengers.

The remaining 744 will NOT be fitted with new F. The old F will be built out and these airplanes will get a C-Y-config WITHOUT any F.
The risk of getting old F on a 744 to NYC in AUG14 will be minimal (less than 10%).
