New First class retrofit thread (last updated 22 Oct 2015)

There is no LH aircraft in service with the old First Class cabin!

MUC – 19 x A346 (new F and C) : 8 x A333 (new F and C)
No longhaul Boeing aircraft, A343 or A380 is based in MUC

FRA - 14 x A380 (new F and C) : 19 x B748i (new F and C) : 3 x B744 : 3 x A346 (2 being retrofitted) : 9 x A333

All A343s are or will be turned into two class aircraft without the F cabin.

All 13 x 744 (D-ABTK/TL/VM/VO/VP/VR/VS/VT/VU/VW/VX/VY/VZ) have new C but no F.

DUS - no aircraft with F at present but in the W15/16 season a MUC based A333 will operate MUC-EWR-DUS-EWR-MUC with First Class.

===

Check the following thread about aircraft with the new Business seats:

Flight24.com accurate??

Hi there,

I am going to be flying the LAX-MUC-LAX route and i took a look at the aircrafts based in MUC.
I found that D-AIHW and D-AIHR are both flying that route today Feb 27th.

No, flight24 is not 100% accurate. However if you check LH452 you will find the following.

LH452 was flown on 2012-02-27 by D-AIHW (A346)
LH452 was flown on 2012-02-26 by D-AIHR (A346)
LH452 was flown on 2012-02-25 by D-AIHW (A346)
LH452 was flown on 2012-02-24 by D-AIHR (A346)

D-AIHW is on its way to LAX today and D-AIHR seems to be on its way to PVG. You can actually track its progress live on flightradar24.

Here's a screenshot.

Took D-AIFE yesterday MUC > EWR.

The new F is great!

I am surprised how rough passengers treat the products - the woman next to me decided to manually push the ottoman back and forth.... Not sure how long until that seat is broken.

Lightbulb

According to rcs (aka rcs85551) on VFT it sounds like MUC-based 343s and 346s with the new F will be flying to the following destinations as from the end of March.

343: GRU, ICN, SIN
346: LAX, SFO, PEK, PVG, DEL

333 with the new C and possibly new F seats will operate
Between the end of May and end of June: DXB, TLV
Between the beginning of July and end of August: BOM

I might have thought with Korean Air putting a 388 on ICN to FRA that LH might have put the new F on that route.

Flew in the new F MUC-EWR(LH 412) today

The plane left a few minutes late because the other 2 pax in F had been driven to the flight going to Tokyo.

Maybe this thread should also include retrofit of new C similar to the sticky in the LX forum?

Correct. D-AIHT transferred to MUC on 1st March and now appears to be flying random destinations from MUC.

Cant understand why LH has put all their 346 with new F to MUC.

I can't, and that's not just because I prefer flying from MUC. As long as you have a small subfleet it's much better to have them in one place, so that you can schedule them reliably. Much better to offer new F 95% of them time on a few routes in MUC and then on and off on various routes.

Driven to H38? Did they have a tight connection?
