I'm flying solo on 74M for the first time. All single seats downstairs are booked. 77K was open (and 77J currently empty) and is spoken of highly, so I selected that. However, I'm wondering what the key advantages of that seat are. It seems that the forward partition of the seat (footrest and TV) is spaced at the same distance forward as all of the other seats, so is getting out/over 77J any easier in this row as compared to the other rows? I've also read that footrests are larger (similar to bulkheads in 777), so that's a benefit, and having the exit aisle directly in front increases isolation a bit by increasing the distance from neighbors. I'm traveling 1A on return, so the upper deck experience is a plus, but I'm weighing if I should jump to 1A if it opens up. Seating often come downs to a personal decision, but I am seeking to understand what makes 77K unique.

787-10 Economy Comfort
The seat map for the 787-10 shows the side section seats in rows 14-17 are not Economy Comfort while the middle section seats in those rows are. Can anyone confirm this? See

Good Evening
Two questions for a trip I booked with KLM.
- Row 1 in WBC on the A330-300 - are the footwells larger in Row 1 than in the other rows?
- Question about the exit row on the E190 vs the rows in the Biz Class cabin. Right now my intra-Europe leg is booked in Euro Economy and I was able to get the Exit Row. Today I noticed the same routing is available but with the intra-Europe leg now available in Business Class. Would it be worth it to switch to Business Class so I can get Row 1? (Same amount of miles and the "change" is free as well so it'd only cost me the time to call and make the change but if the exit row actually has more legroom, I'd rather keep the exit row and forgo Business Class on the ~600 mile intra-Europe hop (leaves at 2 pm and arrives at 4 pm).

Legroom in row 1 of the E190 is not great so if it's what's you're after, stay in the exit row.
At an equal cost, I would personally choose to fly the Biz class in row 2 over economy in the exit row.

I actually went ahead and switched the flights before your response to get Business Class on the intra-Europe hop as I thought about other considerations and benefits of being in Business Class over Economy, including carryon allowance and in-flight service, but I have opted for Row 2 instead of Row 1 at your recommendation. Despite me being the taller one (by a lot), I usually prefer bulkheads but Mrs. ATOBTTR doesn't like them as she prefers to have a seat in front of her to place a bag under.

I've heard that the back Y cabin in KLM's 777-200s have less legroom than the front Y cabin, anyone know if this is true? Likewise I heard that IFE boxes under seats are quite prevalent on this aircraft, but the KLM virtual tour didn't show any. Anyone know where the IFE boxes are so I can avoid them?

A330 - 200 YUL to AMS. Only middle rows, middle seats, left in economy comfort, so took 21A/B. Do EC seats ever open up at OLCI?
I usually book early enough to get a nice window EC seat, cannot bear the thought of being in a middle seat in the middle rows, too claustrophobic. But 31" pitch doing nothing for me either.
