On the A332 I know for sure that seats A and J have the boxes (B and H dont).
Seatguru claims (for the A332) that D, F and G also have the box (E doesnt), I cant confirm.
I'd personaly go for B or H, mainly because of the box but I also prefer aisle seats.

In case anyone cares other than me, here is the answer
The baby bassinet positions in the new WBC on 772 are at 1DG and 6DG. I also discovered that if you request a bassinet, your seat selections through any method are locked to these 4 seats.

On the return flew in an aisle on the other side of the same A330-200 but found the box smaller under the window J seat FWIW.

We will be flying from AMS to JRO on the 330-300 in business class. It is a morning flight. What are the best seats? Cabin is mostly open right now. We selected row 3 in the middle as a placeholder so we both have aisle access but I read that the left aisle of row 3 may be used as a crew rest area with the curtain which may be visually annoying. Thank you!

If you are one of those who enjoys looking down at the world from above, then AMS-JRO can be a really nice flight. It of course all depends on the weather and the exact route, but you may expect such highlights as the Rhine; the Bodensee (Lake Constance); the Alps; Lago di Garda or Lago Maggiore; Rome or Athens; the Mediterranean; the Sahara; the Nile; and Khartoum. Well worth a window seat, in my opinion.
AMS-JNB is even better, by the way. It includes many of the above on the European side (albeit usually Genoa and Sicilly instead of Rome), but you also get the spectacular Tibesti Massif, and usually reach the Intertropical Convergence Zone just before sunset, when the thunderstorms are at their prettiest.

Are my seats safe?
I had selected seats 1K and 1J on the LAX-AMS flight on the 747 Combi when I ticketed this trip in August. (The trip is to take place in 12 days).
I've logged onto my account from time to time since then, and gone into the select seats screen so I could check if there'd been an equipment change or if I lost my seat assignments, etc.
I just checked and it's still showing the 747 Combi, and by our names it says:

01J World Business Class (confirmed) and 01K World Business Class (confirmed)
BUT, it no longer gives me the option to select seats which is how I'd been pulling up the seat map. Instead, to the right of the screen it shows: About Your Seat
And when you click on that it shows:Choosing your seat
Unfortunately it is currently not possible to select seats.
During check-in you can again choose or change seats, and reserve seats in the Economy Comfort zone too (if available).
You can check in from 30 hours before departure (from 24 hours for flights to and from the United States).
So it this anything to be concerned about?

I have more info, but still in the dark
Regarding my post above - my concern is that my seats aren't actually confirmed, since it shows that wording "during check-in you can again choose or change seats". Could they have been taken for Crew Rest or for a Fire Marshall?
I tried to find on the KLM site a way to see a seat map, thinking that if the flight is now full that could be why I don't have the option to change seats, but only saw that you need to do it through My Trip - and that way yields the result I described in the above post.
So I tried doing a dummy booking in business class, but that didn't give me the option to select a seat and view a seat map either.
So, I just got a trial subscription to EF and see that currently there are 7 seats marked available in business:
3K
4K
72K
73K
77K
78J 78K
I'm posting here to try to find out if it's normal that at 12 days before the flight you lose the ability to change your seat or even look at the seat map?
Would any of you frequent KLM flyers be concerned at this point that your seat assignments weren't confirmed?

As long as EF shows your seats as taken you should be fine.
Regarding crew rests and air marshals, they will usually be on the upper deck near the cockpit for obvious reasons and not in the nose of the lower deck of the 747

Not to worry, it sometimes happens with KL (I have no idea why but maybe some of our forum experts can pitch in).

And yeah, really dumb assumption on my part with the crew rests.

Thanks again kind stranger. ^

I am about to book KL 791 AMS-GRU on 21/01/16. According to KLM.com it will be a 777-300. When I click on the aircraft info tab on KLM's website it directs me to the seat map which shows the new World Business Class config. However, if I scroll down it shows the old one. How can I find out which one it will be?
