Every single meal currently served on shorthaul flights is extensively discussed in this very thread, with plenty of pictures too.

on ATH-AMS

in economy you will receive a box containing a sandwich a cooky and watercup and a muffin crew wil do at least 1 drinkrun with hot/cold beverages ; incl coffee tea and beer/wine.if you fly out on a returning early flight eg at 5/6/7 am the box will contain cake. Hand sanitizer item will be offered as well
in business class a cold meal box is offered , a water bottle and sanitizing item. wide selection of beverages is available.
Several pictures around here on the forum.

basically on all klm flights, over 40 min, you will get a beverage service and a small snack in a box in economy flights up to 1h 15 a cake longer a sandwich

I got the EBC overnight-box osl-ams. The bread was embarrassing. Its just sad.

I can’t post photos yet apparently.

Ams-gig J catering was almost back to normal. Except for no choice of appetizer and the dreadful plastic wrapped bread. Also, the apple tartlet is served cold and the so called “light bites” was an uninviting scrambled eggs roll. Crew were great.

I guess KL shorthaul travelers should count their blessings when compared to AF. CDG-AMS this afternoon they served half a cup of water in J, but only after they placed what were presumably crew meals in the galley oven. The smell permeated what passes for a J cabin on the A318 (i.e. awful seats and horrible pitch). I know, a very short flight, but with inane delays at both ends pax spent 2 1/2 hours on board, and lots missed their connections to boot.

AF longhaul, on the other hand, is pretty much on par with KL. Neither is quite there yet, but they are slowly getting there.

Yeah, catering on AF short haul has been beyond poor but, as reported in the equivalent thread in the AF forum, they are supposed to go back to the October level of catering in J as of today (i.e. full drink service +snacks on short flights like CDG-AMS). Nothing to write home about, for sure, but certainly much better than the glass of water joke of a service we have had over the last month or so.

I am flying DXB-AMS in J tonight.
What can I expect in terms of meal? Anyone flown this route recently?

Yesterday was my first time in KLM long-haul Y. I know there's cutbacks because of Covid, but seriously way too much pasta for our lunch from AMS - IAD.

A pasta salade paired with a pasta main dish, and an overly sweet cinnamon/creme dessert.
Midway thru the flight, there was a snack bag of various crackers, chocolate, and just one stick of Gouda (the only thing I ate and appreciated). Along with a canette of Cola.

At a time when Schiphol is working hard to ensure our health through the non-functioning escalators and walkways, wasn't really happy with the Y catering on-board, even if I wasn't expecting much.

Flew AMS-PTY on J just a week ago or so. I honestly didn't feel the difference between pre-COVID and now. The only noticeable difference that I cared about was the lack of pre-departure snacks. Was offered a drink, but no cheese. I was looking forward to having the cheese! But I won't complain, for now. :)

I had typical pre-departure nuts but in a plastic bag. PDB too. SFO-AMS. Regular, normal service is on again as far as I can see, complete with an identical menu from when I flew in oh, June.

You had the beef burger on brioche then. Was it any good?

I’m curious to see how it looked like once unwrapped
