Does this property impose their $40 daily amenity junk fee on award stays as well?

Hi Folks, just a reminder to select "include taxes and fees" when searching all NYC properties. Due to high amentity fees, it's actually usually better to pay cash vs use points. For example, I booked a night with my credit card certificate as I needed to use it, did no calculations. However, the next night was 30K points + $40 and change amenity fee (which itself usually gets taxed). So that's about $190+ assuming 0.5 cents per point which IHG sells points at routinely. The paid rate all in is $208 and change, but I earn points on this. The website says 2874 estimated points which are worth $14 and then I put it on the IHG Premier credit card which should earn me another ~2K points and then on top of that is a double points promotion which should met me another 1,400 points which is 3,400 points on top of that or $17. YMMV vary, but do calculate the cost of that amenity fee when deciding on points vs cash.

IHG One Rewards does not waive amenity/resort fees on cash or award stays period. That means your elite status won't help you like say at Hyatt.
