[QUOTE=markis10;14394981]What rates are you after, 25% off or BOGO room availability as these are the two that can be room limited based on what I have seen, and dont forget the monthly specials mean you can often get a BOGO that can be used for multiple nights (separate bookings may be required), its always worth checking with the call centre as sometimes the web spits out weird rates, take a look at the difference between the rates for the river suites in Perth (which are awesome BTW and make up for a club thats not that great):

Sorry Markis, I didn't notice your question!

I'm coming over for the ashes and need to book 4 nights in Sydney on the dates given above. I've already got reward night bookings for Perth but was wondeirng what the paid rate would be so I can weigh up which is better value. I think I'll be sticking with the reward nights for Perth apart from possibly the last night which I think may be a lower rate than the others.

For Sydney, I'm looking for the best way to get club access at the IC. I'm thinking of joining PP for that reason as although I'd only be buying accommodation for 4 nights, the other vouchers would come in handy and the saving seems worth it.

We've also got to book 4 nights in Singapore for 23 - 27 Dec so I'm just looking at what my options are really.

PP does not cover drinks so you will be unable to drown your sorrows in regard to the ashes cheaply :p , but the dining benefits are handy!

Rate for Dec 21 in Perth:

PP CERTIFICATE
$267.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 1 KING BED CLASSIC ROOM
$267.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 2 DOUBLE BEDS CLASSIC ROOM
$289.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate CLASSIC KING VIEW
$289.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate CLASSIC TWIN VIEW ROOM
$368.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 1 KING CONTEMPORARY CLUB IC SPA ROOM
$368.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 2 DOUBLE BEDS CONTEMPORARY CLUB IC ROOM
$735.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate PANORAMIC RIVER SUITE 2 KING BEDS SPA

As a comparison rates for the 10% of advance purchase for the same night:

CURRENCY CONVERTER
Priority Privilege Members Advance Purchase Rate
$241.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 1 KING BED CLASSIC ROOM
$241.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 2 DOUBLE BEDS CLASSIC ROOM
$261.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate CLASSIC KING VIEW
$261.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate CLASSIC TWIN VIEW ROOM
$332.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 1 KING CONTEMPORARY CLUB IC SPA ROOM
$332.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate 2 DOUBLE BEDS CONTEMPORARY CLUB IC ROOM
$662.00 AUD
Average Nightly Rate PANORAMIC RIVER SUITE 2 KING BEDS SPA

If you are using points at Perth have a look at the HI Burswood which is part of the IC Complex, rooms are much newer and its 5K per night cheaper, you get access to the same restaurants etc.

No sign of the August offerings and already two days into the month down under!

I think the specials require a human to release them, one should be availabel when they get to work in the next few hours :)

Was this a holiday weekend down there? I'll check email before going to bed but time now to toss a steer onto the barbi and crack open some South Australian Shiraz...Niagara reds are too refined for BBQ.

Its actually a bank holiday in NSW so financial services are off, however I would expect the specials to come through today late in the day, they used to be really bad with emails being published/deals released 5-7 days into the new month, and sometimes it takes that long for the deals to be loaded into Holidex.

I havent got the email yet, but you can book the specials already. Just go through the normal reservations process but select the specials option.

I am still seeing July which is not current.

Theme of the Month - Priority Privilege Dining Offers July 2010
Don't miss out our latest offer this month! Please visit

How do you what the specials are that you can book short of trial and error.

qf_1020 Aug 2, 2010 12:35 am

The rates I appear to be able to book are the same as the July offers. Maybe they are going to extend these offers to include August as it is not possible to book these rates for September.

Note the PP member reception that is free in Adelaide on 25/8, the 50% off lunch at Cafe Opera (IC SYD) for up to 8, 50% of food and bev at the IC WLG, the dining offers are not promoted at the hotel and you often need to ask for them!

September newsletter is out but the website seems to be all screwed up and doesn't appear to book the deals it is linked to. Anyone else have problems finding BOGO nights or 25% discounts for September? Also, after my first attempt to check a property, all subsequent attempts with other properties default to that original property. Have checked this from two different computers so can't be a cache issue.

perthite Sep 1, 2010 7:51 am

Had no issues with the hotels I looked at.

(Although the points + pay option seems to have vanished somewhere - well, just have to stick with PP bookings)

The pickings from this month's newsletter are particularly lean no doubt reflecting high occupancy.

Much fewer BOGOs mainly 25% off Best Flexible and the IC Sydney is 15% of AP rate which effectively excludes any booking in the first week.

Kindred Sep 1, 2010 4:31 pm

Are the monthly offers only for bookings that same month? Or can you book for example Septembers offer for a stay in October?

If you have to book month by month, are there always rooms available or is it best to just use the normal benefits like 10% off for potentially busy hotel time.

Thanks
