Thanks for all the help. Does anyone have an alternative phone number for customer services when calling from OUTSIDE Australia? The current one appears to be out of order. Thanks!

Interest to know there are people like me. Somebody called me today with all the special benefits on top of the standard PP, even tells me French Polynesian are covered but they cannot give me details in writing before I signed up, and I can cancel my membership if I am not happy. I signed up, got the membership number, call reservation and they told me French Polynesian do not have PP special. Lucky I got the number to call back and tell them I would like to cancel my membership, she told me no problem and her manager will call me. I called again a few hours later asking the status, and she suggest me to be patient and dont call and this is not a scam, and I will get the membership cancel and full refund. I dont have any written confirmation and nobody called me as promised. It is hard not to believe this is a scam !! Will see how it goes but certainly not a good experience.

I am RA from the UK and have am going to be booking 14 nights in IC's across Australia. As a foreign resident, am i allowed to buy and use this card? would it be worth $280 for 2 weeks worth of stays? Also, how does this tie-in with RA benefits? Thanks...

I find it a value even when only visiting Australia/New Zealand a limited number of times. As noted, the cost can be recouped with one of the BOGOs at a Sydney property and you have two of these plus a pair of 25% off certs for regular bookings. Both are augmented a couple of times a year with promos that don't require redeeming he certs. Food vouchers total about $200 too. You can also get the PP no-cert discount rate at many properties in other Asian countries...generally equal to advance booking rate but with no penalty to cancel.

thanks, Shareholder. i did sign up, and have (prospectively) made some great savings. Certainly covering the original cost and more. The membership pack is supposed to ship in 10 days. Still not received it after a month and i'm travelling over there in 2.5 weeks. :td:

Membership referral

I am interested to sign up Priority Privilege and would like to have a member to refer me so that I could have 10% discount on membership. Can someone PM me with their membership details? Thank you.

I've been reading this thread and trying to get my head around how much of a benefit I can see. I have a 21 day stay coming up in MEL. The BOGO seems to be just for 2 night stays. But what about the 25%? Can that be used for a long term stay?

I'm about to sign up anew, so if anyone has a referral link to earn themselves a bottle of wine just let me know ...

how many nights credit for using a BOGO?

I just completed a BOGO stay for 2 nights at CP Surfers Paradise. The online reservation showed as $x for the first night and $0 for the second. On checkout they told me it would post as one qualifying night only. I didn't take it up then as I wanted to leave but thought I would be able to sort it out after leaving.

I emailed the front office manager and was told that I would only get one qualifying night. She claimed to have spoken to priority club who said that was all I was entitled to. I always thought it was a matter for the hotel what credit they wanted to give.

It's only 3000 points I'm missing out on because this was going to be the final 2 nights to trigger the 3000 points for every 3 nights promo. But I have another 2 night BOGO stay at IC Sydney and this time i've got 5000 points at stake with a stay 3 get 5000 promo.

What is people's experience with qualifying nights and PP BOGOs?

I have never had a PP BOGO post as one night, and that includes 20 or so at the CP Surfers in the last three months.

Thanks for the advice markis10. I seem to remember having a BOGO stay at the HI credited as 2 nights last year. Hence my confusion over the response from the CP on this one.

It is interesting that ambassador BOGOs always count as 2 nights credit but PP BOGOs don't. That Sydney IC stay is looking pretty light on for points earned without any bonus offers.

Sorry, I meant to say that I have never had a PP Bogo post as one night! Its been more consistent than AMB BOGOs in my experience. I have seen the rate split across the nights and then at other times, its not as far as the reservation goes. Watch the points though, the net rate before GST gets entered in to the system then it takes 10% off, costing you 10% of the points you earned.

I'm glad to hear it. I think I will wait until the points credit and then take up with PC if it's only one night. If you always get 2 nights credit then I should get the same, despite the advice given by their staff.

I did notice that 10% issue you mentioned but I thought I had missed something with the conversion of $AUD to $USD. I'll take them up on that as well if they haven't got it right. I saw that on a stack of bookings last year but didn't pursue it. I'll be on to them this year though.

In the end the stay posted as 2 qualifying nights and I really raked in the bonus points. They still screwed me on the tax, appearing to deduct 10% twice, but I think I've done well enough out of this stay so I'm not going to pursue it.

Fingers crossed Sydney IC posts as 2 qualifying nights.
