Anyone notice that the crappy reservation form on the PP site has stopped working (it doesn't apply the right rate, for me at least) with the new priorityclub.com redesign? Yeah. Annoying.

I can get the 2-4-1 and 10% off either advance purchase or best flex to work, but does anyone know the rate code for the "25% off Best Flexible" certificates? I've tried IDPMC, but that's just bringing up the full 'Best available' rates for me.

It still works, just take the null out of the city field on the second page then select the rate from the drop down box.

THey keep telling me to renew today because prices will increase tomorrow. Has anyone heard anything about them increasing the price tomorrow?

Is there still a way to renew with the NZ price when you follow this "renew now" link in the emails they are sending you?

ALso, there is no mention of the $50 credit towards accommodation. Is this not included in the membership anymore?

Answered my own question this morning. Price gone up by A$10 and NZ$5 per year.

So I let my membership lapse as we are planning to spend most of the year in Europe with some USA.

Today I got a call from Jack at the Intercon Sydney telling me his manager had sent him an urgent email to contact me offering me Gold membership for the same $299, which would give an automatic upgrade, 2 free nights and $100 voucher for meals even when not staying at the hotel.And he claimed this would all be valid worldwide rather than just Australasia.

I asked him to email me the details and he said they couldn't do that as it is the hotel itself offering this, not a marketing thing.

All sounds a bit too good to be true - if it is indeed valid worldwide including 2 free nights and automatic upgrades everywhere then i may well do it but as i've never heard of this before and the story about his manager urgently asking him to contact me doesn't sound all that credible I don't want to get scammed. Anyone else had this?

I think you are right to be sceptical if Jack won't put it in writing.
If it is something being offered just by the IC Sydney how are they able to influence other hotels worldwide to honour all this?
Not to mention my understanding that PP is not run by IHG but by some other marketing company.

which does mention a gold status though is light on details and likely to be outdated as it is 2004-5...

There used to be Basic, Gold and Platinum status for Priority Privilege up until a few years ago. It was based on the Priority Club status held by the member. I used to have a Platinum Priority Privilege card until 2009 when I stopped being a member.

Priority Privilege is only valid in the Asia-Pacific Region, so I doubt the truthfulness of the contact person who called you that the status would be recognized everywhere.
