Hi friends

I am from Hyderabad, India. I was browsing through the web to learn the things about fear/nervous flyers and landed here. I have my next international flight to Amsterdam in a month and trying my best to come out of the fear of flying. I fled a lot during 2003 to 2009, but my last flight was during 2009 which was terribly turbulent and did not fly after that. Wish to learn from members and moderators on this and learn all new things happening in air travel world

I have stumbled upon some very good threads here on FlyerTalk dealing with this issue. Some of these threads might help:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site...fear+of+flying

Also, a great read for those who have a fear of flying is the United Airlines Pilot Q&A Thread, and especially the previous (and much longer) version of it here. After reading all 5,661 posts in the older thread (:p), you'll come away with a new appreciation of the training pilots have received and their skill and dedication to safety, and it very well might help you overcome any doubts and fears you have about flying. I know other people have mentioned as much in that thread.

Hello All

I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I live in Massachusetts so most of my travel involves going back to Dublin on EI. Even so I am a Gold Circle wannabee and trying to make the most of my dollars/points/MR

Hi all. Recent convert to flyertalk. Already finding it invaluable. Many years of regular leisure travel with family, mainly using BA and Starwood. This summer will bring first experience of UC on Virgin, and completion of the SPG Platinum Status Challenge.

Hello Flyers!
I'm Rainshine from Seattle WA area. Started this "trip" about 6 weeks ago and have learned much. So thankful for those of you who don't "hate on" us newbies. I have read years of back blogs - only to find many of the "rules" have been changed, so please be gentle with me as I learn the ropes!
Here's to free!

Welcome!

We have a very healthy community of FlyerTalkers in ANC who get together regularly. In fact, I think there are some upcoming events, not to mention our big bash this summer in Southeast (see my signature for the link).

Say hi over here! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/commu...up-thread.html

And a ^ on your choice of username. :D

New Kid on the Block

Hi, I'm Jocoman! I'm new to this whole frequent flyer miles/ travel hacking thing. I'd actually never been on a plane until I was 28 years of age, so I'm really new to traveling in general. Now I've married a girl who is a frequent world traveler and nothing makes her happy like a good trip. I don't make that much money  so I'm seeing if I can make her dreams come true on a budget.

I am a Director at a large company, member of United's Million Miler group, United Club, Hilton Platinum, Nationals Executive Elite. I also just switched from flying domestically to mostly International travel.
