My names SungHwan. I finally made the jump to participate in the community and would love to learn some more!

I moved back to the States about a month ago from South Korea and in between I traveled to Japan for 1 week & Los Angeles for 4 days. I loved Japan's Shinkansen bullet train and the airline travels so much. Can't wait to travel some more for less price :D I like Alaska Airlines (Staying in Seattle) and Hilton!

By the way, if anyone wants to go use the bullet train in Japan, I suggest purchasing the ticket outside of the country for a greater discount. I purchased mine for 270,000 KRW (About 260$) for 1 week unlimited bullet train rides.

Yup--the JR pass is a fantastic deal! I did that in 2012 and it saved a ton of money. Gotta arrange it before you leave, though--it can only be done outside of Japan.

Hello, i'm 21 and i live in Italy but i travel pretty often to Asia (Hong Kong and Taiwan in particular) but i also travel a lot around Europe (even if, when i've time, i rather prefer the train also on long distance travels :D ).

I mainly travel Oneworld (CX) and sometimes Star Alliance (Turkish, LOT, Lufthansa), but basically i travelled on a countless number of airlines and planes.

Long time lurker but today I was finally able to register and log in without a hitch. I love to travel but due to my job I have limited vacation time so I usually take around 4 trips per year. I am learning so much on this forum and what I like is that most of the posters are nice to each other.

I usually travel from the states to Taiwan, Japan, and Bangkok, but certainly want to travel to more destinations. My family of 6 is new to points and miles. We have had a Disney rewards card that has served us well, but we are looking to expand out world beyond Disneyland. :) I know it may be impossible to get free travel for my large family, but I am hoping to make it much cheaper to travel by earning and using points. Any suggestions would be helpful.
