Has anyone had to show the email confirmation or a printout of that email? We are transiting through DOH and curious if I need to show documents before boarding our flight to MAA

Qatar will want to see the email confirmation. If you are a making a direct connection at Doha it's likely your visa eligibility will most likely be checked at your originating airport, where the DOH MAA boarding pass can be issued.

That should hold even if the Chennai sector is on Indigo, but the Qatar-Indigo interface can be a bit clunky when it comes to the finer details such as seat allocation.

I had the same experience. PayPal worked. It was lightning fast! I applied on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and it was approved by Monday 10am eastern time.

You need a valid eVisa for your ENTRY to the country only. It can expire while you're in India. You need to apply for another eVisa to enter again next time.

at the time of departing the immigration wont check the visa expiry date.. as i belive the visa start and expiry date means we can stay in the country only during the time mentioned in the visa.

At time of departing they only check if you stayed within the allowed time.

For e-Tourist Visa (01 year / 05 years), the validity would be 365 days / 05 years from the date of grant of ETA with Multiple entries and Maximum stay in India during one Calender Year should not exceed 180 days.
For e-Tourist Visa (30 days), the validity would be 30 days from the date of your first arrival in India. Double entries will be granted within the e-Visa validity period stamped on your Passport. Your first arrival must be between the date of issue and expiry of ETA.

Our recent experience (Dec 2023 and Jan 2024) of this is that the check in staff insist on seeing the print out of the e-Visa and matching the details against your passport details. Same for the immigration people once you land in India.

Also note that there is a landing card to fill out. Staff on the ground insist that it is the airline's responsibility to give this to you but our airlines (BA, UL) never did. One staff member even claimed that an airline rep would be along shortly to hand out the cards. No cards (or pens) were available on the ground and nothing happened until a few passengers insisted that the staff go and get more cards. By the way, the phone number on the card has to be an Indian one so you should put the phone number of your hotel.

Multiple entry Evisa

I have a multiple entry Evisa. I used it for the first time recently and had the multi entry visa stamped in my passport at the Evisa queue. Next time I come do I have to use the Evisa queue or can I use any visa queue for international travellers. (usually faster than an Evisa queue)?
