the general consensus on the value of HH point would be around 0.4 - 0.5 cents pp.. ie around 25-30 paise per point.

I personally have booked an award reservation at their Goa property (its still a 'Double tree' and not a resort ) and it was good value.. 5k points for an award night.. for this particular redemption it was worth more than a rupee for a point!
But their overall international redemption values (esp at their marquee properties) are very poor..

so it all depends when and where u redeem these HH points..

just my 2 cents;)

hilton majorly devalued their loyalty program earlier this year....at their previous levels it made sense to transfer over miles to the program but not anymore....

for example, at their earlier levels you could get a free night in a place like new york for 40k points (20k premier miles as per the current transfer scheme)....but now a high season reward in new york would be 90k points (or 45k premier miles)....not good value....

there are some good deals as well but they are available at very select properties....for example, the doubletree in goa is available for 5k points per night so if you were to transfer 10k premier miles then it would get you 4 free nights there....

Hi Keyser, I might transfer PM points to Hilton for a vacation at Goa. But somehow I dont see any availibility all through 2014. May be because I dont have any Hilton points... not sure.. 4 nights at Hilton Goa for 2 people sounds like a deal to me, for 5000 rupees. :) Do they charge taxes on award nights? I am Hilton Gold, thanks to Mastercard/Visa offer. Will I be eligible for benefits, say complimentary B'fast, wifi etc ?

i see a lot of availability....i have a 3 night award reservation in march myself....

if you are gold then you will get all the benefits....doesn't matter how you got status....so you will be entitled to free breakfast & wifi....also, there are no taxes on a award stay....

if you transfer 10k premier miles then you get 20k hh points....enough for 4 nights in goa....

Would someone be able to check the HH points required for Conrad Maldives. I am not a member and so not able to check. Strangely, I am able to check the points requirement for other properties. Thanks in advance.

Its no longer Conrad or under Hilton management. Pity as it was a great hotel and I stayed here last year for 40k a night. I believe it had doubled to 80k a night before Hilton left it.
