More than Jadeja's innings, the most memorable moment for me was Venkatesh Prasad dismissing Aamer Sohail. There was a moment of pure silence followed by the Indians going bonkers and the Pakistanis sinking back into their seats. We even had some of our American friends chanting "Jeetega bhai jeetaga, India jeetega"!!!!
Ah, the good old days.... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/131698..._aamir_sohail/ |
Anyone else on here stuck due to flight cancellations in London?
|
not stuck in London - voluntarily here for a short holiday. I have this amazing booklet full of 2 - for - 1 passes for various activities. PM me if you want to get together. I need to get a charger for my phone so should be functional by midday.

It started snowing again at 10pm last night, and it is still snowing. In addition to Gatwick and the other international airports in the UK being closed, national rail service is also at reduced capacity.
I note, however, that JFK-LHR seems to not be affected. Fly DEL-JFK-LHR? Nice way to pick up some miles  |

I did a DEL-SYD-LHR a few years back as it worked out cheaper. :D

About 10 years ago, it used to be around Rs.10000 cheaper to fly BOM-YVR than BOM-ICN, and the SQ fare allowed a free stopover en route. A couple of times I did BOM-SIN-ICN-YVR-ICN on SQ rather than just BOM-SIN-ICN!!!

the snow is still creating havoc here in the UK. trains are not running, so if you do manage to get to LHR plan to hire a car. buses are running fine. I believe that lgw, edi and other airports continue to be closed.

Good lord, you are making me jealous. I am yet to watch any match in a stadium. The closest I came is peeping through the door at the MCG when there was no match just to see what a cricket stadium looked like.
Can you really see the players and the ball properly? I mean there is the crowd factor, but apart from that would you watch a game in a stadium or TV? |

Interestingly, i Saw Azhar leading the Independence Day parade in Chicago a few years ago. Weird...considering his match-fixing history.
