AI should order a 737-700, and then give it to IX (because they are the ones who operate 737s). Just so that a 737-737 exists...
GoI ordered 3 (IIRC) 737-700 BBJs a while back, but they are classified as 737-7HI instead of 737-737 :( And IX's current 737-800s are 737-8HGs, so IX ordering 737-700s wouldn't do :( |

Be prepared for 3+ security checks though - getting between different terminals in LHR is horrible (although my experience is a few years outdated) |

4 hours is more than enough, assuming everything is on time.

i have a little over 3....
i haven't transited through lhr since terminal 5 opened....have avoided it like the plague.... Last I flew through LHR was BOS-LHR-HYD-LHR-BOS, the last leg on AA. For BOS-LHR-HYD, the connection T5-T5 was fine The HYD-LHR-BOS connection T5-T3 was horrible. |
Proud to say that after being stuck at that (cannot possibly express my feelings without being censored) ... place... for 36 hours during the 2006 liquid bombing plot, I'm thrilled to have never been there.
BA's handling of the situation was pathetic, at best, and while it wasn't their fault, it was enough to make me avoid the airport (and the airline, as possible) for the rest of my life. Still remember the mountains of bags, the BA reps tossing out blankets and cookies to crowds (literally like we were refugees at some camp), BA's refusal to honor their agreement to reimburse for food/general expenses at the airport, BA throwing away my books for "security reasons," BA throwing away my mom's neck brace (slipped vertebral disk) for "security reasons," and the list goes on and on. BA can go rot in hell for all I care, and so can LHR. </rant> |

Now they get to board at Terminal Z, which is almost as bad, but you get an aerobridge and have to carry down your handluggage some relatively steep flights of stairs... Of course, some LH flights (like ex-India) get to disembark at remote stands too, but overall LH flights tend to get aerobridges. |

I use LHR monthly and transfer there. T5 with no status is worst but the others are ok. 3 plus hours is fine. Immigration has been the issue lately for non UK/EU passengers arriving at T5 and not transferring.
Anyway, I'm assuming Keyser is connecting BA-9W, and considering the fact that BA can't print 9W boarding passes IIRC, he'll have to deal with the ever so helpful transfer desk as well  |
I do T3 or T1 to T5 and the queue for security at T5 for nonstatus often goes down the escalator. Reverse is fine. T5 is an embarrassment and worse than some Indian airports. I'll take a DEL transfer over that and still have some of the same shops!

its actually ba-af....would anyone here know if they have an interline agreement????
Wasn't expecting that. Yes, BA and AF have an interline agreement (almost all "legacy" carriers have interline agreements with each other). But if you are going international-Schengen and with a terminal change to boot, it will probably be hellish. People avoid LHR for a reason... |
