Based upon requests, this is now a wiki - please feel free to edit - but please only post the suite that you are confirmed into and not what you ultimately get (eg PH Vendome books into Park Suite but many ultimately get a Park Executive Suite). I'll start with that one for formatting example - I will try to do refinements to this when I have some time later.

To check the room type you booked into, you may use Hyatt E-Concierge:

Only one stay credit but points will be accrued for both rooms. A Platinum member would not have any DSU's, but as far as I know, if you have them you can apply to both rooms so long as both rooms are registered in the member's name.

Thanks for the responses!
Yes, the member is actually a Diamond member (I was thinking of SPGfor a moment.)
They were able to confirm DSU for both rooms.

1. Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead
2. Executive Suite - http://grandatlanta.hyatt.com/en/hotel/rooms/suite.html
3. 650-700 sq feet
4. 1 bedroom, 1 bath. However you can also book as a 2-bedroom suite (which we did for our traveling friends.)
5. First time having a "lockout suite" so I was skeptical about using my DSU for it. However with friends traveling with us, I thought it would be nice to have a connecting living room where we could all hang out. I actually am pleasantly surprised with the size of the living room area. I would definitely rate it an A.
6. I asked for a possible upgrade when we checked in. The agent actually checked but due to the holiday (New Years) they were sold out of the next up suite. However, we are lucky that we got 1 of only 2 Exec Suites with a balcony. That must have been the Diamond perk. The balcony is nice and long. It spans from the living room to the bedroom and has great views of the downtown area.

(I will try to post pics later. I couldn't find any online so it would be nice to have known what to expect.)

I applied two DSUs last week. Got the typical inconsistency in my confirms, which showed the room rate changing to the suite price, which I ignored based on past experiences. When I went to check in at GH SF yesterday, they tried to charge me the daily rate for an Executive Suite. I pointed out that I was using a DSU and showed my original e-mailed confirm.

The FD agent said they've been having all sorts of problems since the GP outage. She said the record showed that GP had in fact called to confirm the DSU, but that the reservation had never properly updated. We got it all straightened out, but if you've applied DSUs since the outage, you might want to check your reservation to make sure the room rate hasn't been "upgraded" as well.

In my experience, the room rate only stays at the suite price for a couple of hours. Then I get an email for the change to the original rate. Next time, if it stays that way for more than 24 hours, I would call HGP. I had a similar issue recently where it didn't change nor was my DSU pulled. I assume that the agent thought I wanted to upgrade the room instead of use DSU. I got it fixed though.

I had two DSUs applied around the time of the Hyatt outage that this happened to. The first one they changed back to the original rate when I called in to apply the 2nd DSU. The second I DM'd Hyatt Concierge and they took care of it.

Used a third DSU two days ago and that one went through and was updated to the right rate but I never received an email with either the temporary suite rate or with it reverting to the original rate.

Point being definitely seeing issues too.

In terms of what they all got confirmed to:

Duplex suite at GH Singapore
Grand Suite King at GH Bali
Balcony Suite at HR San Francisco.

Confirmed into Exec Suite at the Grand Hyatt Denver. Does anyone have opinions on the GH vs the HR there? I've stayed at the Westin and Ritz properties countless times and thought I'd finally check out the Hyatt properties since I was fortunate enough to receive the twitter Diamond match.

Any recent experiences at the Andaz Maui Wailea?

The wiki says that DSUs clear into the Andaz Suite Partial View, though Twitter concierge said it was the Andaz Pool Side Suite - great, but almost never available.

If I have a current booking (on the 29-31 Jan) with a DSU applied, and make a new booking for the 31 Jan-2 Feb at the same hotel but at a different rate, would it be possible to get my DSU applied to the entire stay even though it's across multiple bookings?

You should be able to by CS, they'll merge the reservations into 1 with a change in rate for the 2nd part of your stay. Note that the suite category for the DSU must be available for the new dates to be able to apply the DSU for the entire period.

The rate type for the two bookings are the same, but the amount paid is different since BRG has been applied to each booking. Can the two bookings still be merged while retaining the rate amounts?

My DSU cleared into the Pool Side Suite for Feb. I think there are only 4 of these. My previous two stays using DSUs (6/2014 and 1/2015) booked into POV.
