Originally assigned a Grand Harbourview Suite, however paid the supplement to guarantee a newly renovated Grand Suite King. The room is 64 sq. and we were provided with in room check in following the airport transfer.
Room is very new (smells of paint), has exceptional views and is very tasteful. It's odd, however that all of the adornments in the room are cemented permanently affixed.
WC is separate from the bathroom and very, very small.

Large living room, bedroom and bathroom, however in the Park Suite Kings there is no door separating the living room from the bedroom meaning you disturbing your partner if they are working or watching TV.
Oddly, several large windows on one side have permanent wooden louvres which wastes half the view.
Nice room, but I expected much more from this hotel.

just completed a four night stay at the GH Hong Kong. I was able to use a DSU when emailing them 24hours out. Email confirmation said I'd get the Grand Harbour view Suite, I was shocked when at check-in I was told I'd be getting the diplomat suite in the top floor. 
it was gorgeous! my guests and I loved it!!!

really wish you would receive the upgrades when you have requalified, and at a minimum, at the beginning of the new year. wanted to attach a DSU to an upcoming stay, but was told that they would not be available to use until they get deposited March 1. even though this is probably how it has been for a long time, I was surprised to learn about this.

When is your stay? I was contacted by the hotel and told the suite is still under construction and that I was bumped to a King room. No compensation, no alternatives, just a free downgrade! We are staying in mid January.
So I guess the term "confirmed suite upgrade" in the confirmation email is not worth much when they can drop you as needed.

6. No real wow factor and these suites all overlook a very boring internal courtyard. That said, it is a good size and the bathroom floor is heated which is handy in the cold German winters.

They have a WOW factor. The utmost calm and comfortable overnight stay which is possible in the heart of Hamburg. ^
