It seems like it depends on the property. I have had about a 50% success rate for stay credits and points on industry rates. YMMV. I don't call up CS to ask them to post but when they do appear on my statement I am pleasantly surprised.

Question

Any hidden summer promotions going for the Hyatt properties in Cancun?

Low season, so I imagine they are cutting rates or offering packages?

Smile Hyatt Discount Code

The Manchester Hyatt in San Diego next to Seaport Village honors discount code G-SMOO for stays from August 28 thru Sept 1 2008. The normal best available rate is $229 and the discount rate using G-SMOO is $155. I have booked 4 nights there at the $155 rate so I know it works.

Any good codes for the HR Santa Clara? The IBM rate isn't much of a discount from the Hyatt.com rate.

AAA is still almost $400/night.

I haven't tried AARP but I am nowhere near retirement age so I don't think that would work once I checked in... but maybe it's worth a shot?

What is that code?

AAA is 15985 & 17500

AARP is 17497

For example, the various rates for one night on Sep 1 are:

BAR $315
AAA $267.75 & $315
AARP $258.75

There are various work-arounds to use AARP if you are 50 or under.

Also, look at the rates for each day (separately) for the week that you are considering. I suspect that the weekend rates will carry a very high premium.

Code for airline employee rate?

Does anyone know if you can search for airline employee rates at the Hyatt website? Most Hyatt properties seem to offer around 20-25% off if I call the main reservations number but it would be nice to just search online. I tried the codes used by some of the other chains (since they are fairly generic) but none worked. The reservations line did not know if it were possible to search online.

Thanks!

pointless trying to ask for an airline employee rate unless you work for one, they'll of course ask for your i.d. at check in.

I also work for an airline (TAP Portugal).
Does anyone have more information about this subject? Is there any code for airline employees to reserve at Hyatt website?
Please share with us or PM me. Thank you.
