Still a bargain at 12k a night considering how much rates are at this property nowadays. I can still remember ~$100 Hyatt and $55 Priceline/Hotwire Rates in 2009-2012.
Oh wow the complimentary parking for a week is substantial comp - congratulations for such score! Would love to see them offer comped parking for their Globalists. In the planning stages for two stays over the summer.

AFAIK comp parking isn't a Globalist benefit per se, only on full points stays. I just asked for it because this thread reported conflicting results. I don't even have a car or max 1-2 days.

Have a one-night stay here to do a meeting before going on to Japan — got an email a week ahead from the VIP manager. Seemed quite personal, and genuine — asking for needs, requests, etc. Is this a regular thing? It didn't read automated. Requested a late check out, which she arranged.

She's an all-star and worth every penny they're paying her. Assuming it's ST.

Indeed it is ST. Is there any merit in asking her for a nice view room? We are doing some b-roll for a video and some nighttime views could be cool.

Could you possibly share her contact info? I arrive on Saturday and haven't had any communication from the hotel.

Anyone have any insights to the cost of laundry?

Sent you the email address of ST as a private message. Didn't have any other direct contact info.

No idea on cost of laundry.

Any recent stays? My husband & I arrive this Thursday (American Thanksgiving) for 6 nights. We're using an Explorist lounge access award, looking forward to it.

If anyone has restaurant recommendations in the area, I'd love to hear them!

Had another nice stay here. Got a suite upon check-in (asked for it). Breakfast a-la-carte is good, perhaps even very good. Grain remains a solid bar. For a Regency, this really is a pretty nice property. Tons of great hotels in Vancouver, though — comparatively, it's not a great choice, but for a Hyatt 'conference-y' hotel you could do a LOT worse.

About 10 minutes of walking from Gastown and great restaurants. I highly recommend Lupo, what a gem of an Italian restaurant.

One nt stay here as well - got a message from vip manager and arranged for family plan second room directly. Very good and friendly service at front desk, rc and via email.

Back again! Rather sad looking Club here, despite the staff's best intentions. It feels like a converted hotel room. Perhaps it is?

Asked for suite, got one. Staff at Grain are lovely, lovely, lovely as ever. Parking staff were awful (not affiliated with Hyatt, so whatever). Remains a nice downtown option, but not very competitive with the nicer hotels around as far as rates go.

I've always had the Globalist Breakfast in the restaurant. However, this could have changed since my last stay in December.

You only get globalist breakfast in the restaurant when the lounge is closed - usually 1-2 weeks in December.
