Has anyone else had trouble getting stay credit from PH Zurich? I stayed there 4 1/2 weeks ago and submitted a missing stay request nearly 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. Very annoying.

Just call customer service. They'll take care of it in a matter of minutes

Yep, sent an email to customer service last night and it was fixed this morning! Good to know they'll fix things so quickly.

Just completed a stay here.

Breakfast was excellent. Front desk staff was very friendly during check-in. Nice beverages for diamond welcome amenity. Fruit basket and water provided every day.

However I received absolutely no upgrade which was quite disappointing.

The room however was small but nice...bathroom door doesn't lock, which I think should be changed.

Room service is prompt.

Sorry but can't see the need for a locking bathroom door. I tend to trust those I share a room with, when I share a room.

As for postings, had no problem having the gratuities for breakfast on my award stay post with a few days of check-out.

Just came back from an outstanding stay here. On par with what we had at Park Hyatt Tokyo.

Check-in: Was late at night, staying on 3 FFN. We had emailed before to enquire regarding possibility for a suite for our honeymoon but none available from the manager. Checked in quickly, luggage taken from porter and up stairs in a flash. Upgrade to Park Executive King.

Room: Staff escorted us to our room and explained to use about the use of the room. Wonderful room. Large rain shower, bath tub, good room-controlled air-conditioning. Bang and Oulfsen TV set.

Amenities: We were greeted with Laurent Perrier champagne and a jar of perhaps 30 Sprungli truffles (!!!!!). We devoured these with great pleasure and were thrilled with the amenity. They had decorated our bed and bathtub with roses for our honeymoon. Loved it. Bath amenities were Blaise Mautin, which were not terrible.

Breakfast: For diamond breakfast we were allowed to have room service or restaurant dining, with the value of the Swiss Farmer's breakfast. Food was fine, could not compare to Park Hyatt Tokyo's croissants. Also, no fruits!!! Lots of cheese and salami, though.

Service: Professional and great service all round. Loved our stay and the staff were awesome.

Overall: Loved our stay. Definitely will go again. 5/5

There are no small rooms at the Park Hyatt Zurich, minimum size is 36 square metres...

Additionally, you would not be able to tell the difference between a Park and Park Executive room...

Everything is prompt at the Park Zurich...

You should look a little harder for the fruit...

Just returned from a recent trip. We were extremely impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. One concierge, Friedrich, was as good as I have experienced in my extensive global travels and was always going out of his way to be of assistance. The contemporary hotel rooms while nice with the latest technology do not compare to some of the more spacious and classically elegant older hotel rooms in Europe with views. Striking contemporary lobby and very enjoyable breakfast buffet.

Just back from my first stay at this property (award stay, 1 night), and high expectations (based on this thread) left me disappointed. This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, and the staff was thoroughly very friendly. However, several things we were not impressed with:

- Virtually no Diamond recognition. No upgrade (unless maybe somebody can find the difference between Park King and Park Executive King) although the front desk staff said they were on very low occupancy that night. I just hate having to ask or negotiate for the Diamond upgrade so simply left it at that. In the room, simply a small bowl of caramel candy and a card from the GM. There was also free water and a small fruit bowl, but I think those came with the room anyway.

- Breakfast was fine, but rather smallish and standard in selection. The restaurant was closed, so it was served in the lounge (which might explain the smaller scale). I ordered an omelett with Roesti, but must say the Roesti were made with warmed up potatoes. Warmed up potatoes have a taste that is simply not nice, and I wonder why they would do this in a place of this (price) class.

- We asked for a late (4pm) check out, but were told all they could do was 2pm. We were offered to leave our bags with the bellman and use the Spa to change, but simply went to the airport and used the lounge there. I did not have the feeling they were trying hard to accommodate us.

Check out was seamless and breakfast charges did not appear on the bill.

Maybe, since they didn't have me on file and this was a free award stay, they didn't bother trying hard...however, based on what we saw I would never spend the 600CHF or so they are asking. The 4P in Sihlcity charges about half, and their treatment with SPG Plats has always been top notch, whether on paid or award stay.

Zurich is also one of the properties that does a one category upgrade for Diamonds, normally to a Park Executive room and not the best available room.

Standard Diamond amenity is 100g of Swiss bakery delights. Fruit & water are standard perks included in the room rate and will be replenished daily.

A 4 p.m. check out is not a standard perk and breakfast is always served in the lounge at the PH Zurich. High quality selection plus some made to order dishes. They normally prepare whatever you desire.

Sounds like a perfectly normal stay to me.

Remember that Park Hyatt is all about understatement on a very very high level, very professional attitude there as well ( regarded as cold by some American members )

One should not expect a suite upgrades at this place.

BTW, the spa is a nice place to change and stock some more BM products...

Nothing wrong with the stay, other than maybe the Roesti (this is Switzerland after all !).

But high expectations make it easier to leave behind a slight disappointment - and I have to admit we arrived with high expectations. Looking back, I am more impressed with the service, attention, and amenities received at other, similar properties (such as PH Milan or Dubai, for example).

What is the real difference between Park King and Park Executive King at this property ? Nice to receive a 1-cat upgrade, but not all too relevant when its so hard to tell the difference...

I believe that the Park Executive King is on the top floor. Back in the day when we had to pay for internet, it was free in these rooms. Thus, I really prized this upgrade. Now, not so much.

What you described sounds to me to be a perfectly typical stay. The hotel is a solid business hotel. While I understand your sentiments, I'm not sure what more they could do to wow any of us.
