I had a reservation starting today Sept 18. Before the updated post on extended free cancelation dates, I was surprisingly able to reach the front desk (Signature) late yesterday afternoon. She canceled my reservation and my one night deposit credited to my cc within 30 minutes. I wasn't concerned so much about problems with things not working. But the closed roads, traffic conditions around the Signature (Koval and Harmon) plus the only way in via large security guarded gate has been a nightmare for months. I was confident the EQN stay credit will post to Hyatt eventually (already Globalist for next year so no rush). I will likely book future MGM stays until MGM Gold expires Feb 1 2024. Annoying having to pay a lot more $ to stay at HIE, HGI, CY etc. in Henderson than MGM properties. Ditto both HP closer to the Strip.

I am checking out from the Aria tomorrow from a 6 night stay. 4 comp, 2 paid. I was at Cosmo the 5 days prior (not Hyatt but whatever). I sure hope these nights eventually post! Cosmo was lightly affected but MGM is still so so down... people have to get handpays of 78 cents, the spa makes you fill out a paper slip with all of your info for the credit card, various machines down, walkie talkies in the elevators... wifi up and down... aye aye aye. I was going to make a cheap weeklong booking for this week at the cheapest property and then check in, in person, but now I guess not, darn! They DO still sell you rooms if you walk up to the front desk but getting your Hyatt number on there and getting your casino rate etc... not likely!

Impatiently waiting...
I'm on day 17 and feel that the hack sure is impacting this. These nights are what get me to Globalists, so you can imagine my patience right about now. =)

I'm not sure...if it does, my guess is that Hyatt will need to manually credit the nights/points. I don't see how/why MGM is going to rebuild the player rewards info/system to include Hyatt when the relationship ends in 10 days.

I checked out last Sunday, as the cyberattack was hitting, and am worried about my EQNs posting (they haven’t yet). Any thoughts on how to handle it? I feel like MGM has an obligation to credit the nights because that’s what induced me to pay them
money. But not sure the best way to go about that, particularly if their computer system is not back on line by the end of the month.

Just thought I'd share some information on what I think will happen with the Hyatt / MGM situation as a result of the hack...
When I checked in to the Luxor on Monday the 18th, I simply gave them my Driver's License as normal... the computer were able to find my reservation, including the MGM Rewards Gold # and the linked World of Hyatt #. The lady checking me in turned her screen to me so that I could see it myself.
I forgot my MGM gold card at home, so I went over to the MGM Rewards desk, and again, handed over my license and had a new MGM Rewards Gold card printed without problem.
I'd expect that these Hyatt nights will post with the same regularity as they did prior to the hack -- which isn't to say "good", but it will post eventually... maybe a week after checkout, maybe 2 months after checkout, requiring an email... but it will post.

Their website now says:
I doubt that's 100% accurate, but it's an upgrade from last week's statements. My stay is next week.
We are pleased that all of our hotels and casinos are operating normally.

The difference is the MGM Hyatt partnership will end in 10 days, at that point, I don't think the system can recognize to choose to credit to hyatt anymore

Apparently you can make reservations directly now, except, they must be made over the phone.
How confident are we that nights stayed in these last few weeks of Sept will actually post to Hyatt, with or without retroactive and manual intervention?

My Park MGM reservation has a food and beverage credit. If I understand correctly I can use it for breakfast as long as I do so before checking out. Correct?
What’s the best moderately priced non-buffet breakfast option?

There are a number of posts about this in the various MGM threads. For example, see:
MGM Properties Daily Food Credit: must use everyday or a credit at checkout?

If the credit is from one of the room rates that provides $50 (or other amount) for each night of the stay then the credit must be used before midnight each night; you can not use the credit for breakfast on the day you check out. The credit does not roll over if unused.

The online reservation lookup tool is currently not available.
and the confirmation email has no specifics. I’m forewarned now that MGM employs sneaky hidden restrictions. I guess if your flight arrives late and you check in after midnight you are screwed.
I tried calling to ask for the terms but the phones are now shut down at night, as if the phone staff were the same as the IT staff. No web functionality and no phones at night. This is what they call normal operations? They should call it what it is: limited operations.
