Thanks, but I'm heading East (not West) from JFK. I was just pointing out saving my Cat 1-4 cert won't be of any help in NYC anymore (for a future stay) so burning it at the JFK property seemed wise

Has anybody tried leaving their car in the hotel/casino parking lot while away on a trip? Would love to do that for an upcoming long weekend - stay at the hotel the night before my 6:30am flight, fly out for 3-4 nights, come back and collect the car from the hotel.

Anyone here booked the error fare from BILT and stayed already? (its not available anymore).
I made two reservations and would like to know if there will be complications (never booked and stayed an error fare before).

The HR JFK is outrageously overpriced most of the time. Often > $400 a night vs 12k points. For me it’s usually down to TWA hotel vs 12k points.

The reservation has held for about 3 weeks I believe perfectly fine. I just checked after seeing this thread and the rate is the same but now the reservation includes a destination fee appended as a separate line item of roughly 30 dollars a night. I didn’t know a hotel could modify an existing reservation like this. Now the rate is effectively 70 a night. When this property opened I saw introductory rates between 75-89 dollars; so even if this rate was a “mistake” the nightly rate is what I’ve seen them charge in line with promotions from the past. Considering there is a casino attached; with comps being offered to frequent players; and it being close to introductory rates I’d assume this is probably the lowest rate they’d actual honor and make very little money on or break even.
Seems a bit egregious to pay any destination fees at any hotel that’s not a resort; but especially more to pay a destination fee for a hotel nowhere near Manhattan. Luckily should be waived with globalist status. I’m going to reach out to my concierge to get in writing to see if they’ll indeed honor the rate and apply a TSU. If I apply a TSU technically the property will get some reimbursement from Hyatt in addition to the cash from my reservation so I’ll feel a bit better and everyone will be happier but we will see.
