I've already had it for over a year longer than I expected to, so I don't see why I shouldn't expect to have it perpetually at this point.
The fact that they were willing to comp you 99.5% of the points you needed tells me that they have no problem with literally giving this status away. Maybe there's a quota of Platinum members they have to hit somehow?

Also worth doing is taking your mlife platinum and using it to match over to total rewards Diamond. Their Diamond lounges are pretty swank at some casinos, and Diamond waives resort fees and valet parking at those resorts. It was very useful to have when I was in Vegas recently and swung by Caesars and valet was full--except for Diamond cardholders.

I have seen no such drop yet, and I was expecting a drop.
I did try to get Total Rewards to match my mLife Platinum but all they managed to do was to give me the Diamond cards and the Diamond valet car placard without actually updating my Total Rewards account.

So it seems like I should know where I'll be with mLife by October 15th (of 2018) at the latest.

Is the matching back and forth still getting 4 new Club Upgrade Awards for Explorists? If so, I imagine that they expire end of Fed 2020, just as the present ones do. Would it seem best to wait to do the matching again after Mar 1, 2019, with the hope of getting Explorist and Club Upgrades through Feb 2021?

Does anyone think this might be more productive in a private message/thread? Feel free to PM me and I’ll start a big email cc list to discuss strategies.

Is there any way to get WOH points and stay credit when booking from mlife.com? The MGM property rates on Hyatt.com are always at least 50% higher than the rates on mlife.com, but I do not see any options on in my mlife profile regarding how to credit bookings. I am happy that they match status, but I would be happier if I could actually credit my stays.
**This has probably been answered before, so please forgive me for not paging through 50 pages of search results to find exactly what I was looking for.**

Yeah this works fine. You get both WOH points and Mlife tier credits, which I'm not actually sure is supposed to be the case, but it's always worked that way for me. It can even properly handle situations like multiple rooms the same night (1 room credit per night but points for multiple rooms' worth of spend) and free nights (points for ancillary spend but no night credits).

I feel like I'm asking a question that has already ask but am failing to find the answer.
Right now I'm base tier with Hyatt yet I'm gold at Hilton and Spire Elite at IHG. Seems as there is no "clout" in Vegas except Hyatt and that can translate to status at M-Life that then can transfer to Total Rewards. It seems as though Hyatt status is the "gateway" from regular hotel chains to casino hotel chains. Is this correct?
Regards, if I start (START!!!) the publicly available Elite Tier offer from Hyatt (https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...trialtier.html) and get Explorist (temporarily at least for 90 days)...can I request a status match to M-Life Rewards Gold Tier? Is there another option? Going to Vegas in February.

It's an expensive hotel but your Gold Hilton status may give you some value for staying at the Waldorf Astoria on the Strip (formerly the Mandarin Oriental). The Tropicana is an older hotel but it's had some renovations done and I believe is a Hilton family hotel as well. Not sure what the elite status benefits are at either property but there are likely threads available in the Hilton forum with more info.
