One last push, hopefully can get it done by the end of the year. |
It’s interesting that Hyatt sent me the first tracking email as regarding to LG when I just passed 950k threshold but otherwise very excited about how the upgrade will pan out in the future stays this year.

I'm jealous. Have more than enough status years, but not the spend for Hyatt.
|
Yeah I think if Covid never happened, it would have taken me at least two or maybe three more years to cross the line, only two years where I racked more than 150k base points.

Status years haven't mattered since the GP days. Spend is the only criteria now.
I'm about $12k in spend from LT Glob, and maybe 20 years of Dia/Glob (but who's counting?). Comforting to know that should they announce a plan to end the ability to earn LT status, I could easily knock that out in a long weekend at PH Paris or GH Toyko thanks to today's insane rates. |
Yep, all about spend. It's actually been that way since I joined in 2018. You can get it in 1 year booking royal suites.
I don't think I'll ever qualify by spend unfortunately so will either stay at ratwheel or, more likely, go free agent since the kids are all out this year I really really wish they had a nights qualification like 1000 nights over 10 yrs but I understand why they don't. But it'd keep me staying forever |

Oh really? I had no idea. That means there may be people who spend 50-100 nights at an expensive hotel and earn LT Glob?!

I had indeed low expectations…
But I’ll follow another member idea in the thread you shared: if nothing happened in the next weeks I’ll nicely suggest to my (amazing) MHC that I’ve reached this milestone :p Thank you MHC and Hyatt to recognise long term loyalty. |

Following advices here I expressed my surprise and then disappointment to my (amazing) MHC that there war no reward/incentive post 1m base points (or 100k base points per year. She told me she will contact management and come back to me. And then told me she had organised surprise for me in on of my favourite hotel. So it was not really a surprise but amazing to be upgraded to a 100sqm Diplomatic suite for a 3 night stay at the PH Vendome just in the middle of Roland Garros with the hotel (and all palace) fully booked. And cherry on the cake a much nicer white burgundy welcome bottle than the usual Chablis!
Thank you MHC and Hyatt to recognize long term loyalty. glamping the best VIP tent on property and bonus points. Thanks to my 1000 base points a year. My next Hyatt House stay should be equally impressive with unlimited buffet and no upcharges. Eat your heart out ;) |
I'm surprised they send You're-So-Close emails. The reason I'm surprised is because they hardly push it until you're close. I know we can hunt it down in various emails, but it should be visible in the app and online.

Going to re-post a question I asked previously.....
Anyone have any idea or educated guess as to how many LTGs there are? |
