Finally. Well almost, LOL, hopefully will only just have to wait 28 more hours for the points to post to the account after my checkout today.
Joined GP in 2010, and was planning to cross this threshold in 2020 or 2021 at the latest, but then the world came to a stand still! For the fun & nerdy fact the hotel i am staying (GHE BKK) is the one that got me hooked on Hyatt in the first place even before joining GP. After a SIN DO, bschaff1 had some unused suite upgrades expiring soon and invited me over. I was staying accross the road at the IC at the time. |

Bit of a let down...waiting for credit to post to take me over the lifetime threshold but seems it may require some intervention. At about 54hrs post checkout (Andaz 5th Ave) I decided to call. After some unexplained difficulty with finding the invoice and then trying to see what could be done to push the credit through (or something like that), the agent said she'd have to enter in all charges and that it would be better to wait until 72hrs to see what happens and call again if no change. Anyways, almost there....was a Globalist for a number of years but since 2021 traveling less and dropped to Explorist and now Discoverist.

Just as a follow up to the above...indeed there was an error message associated with the invoice. Had a very good call centre agent...she had to make several calls including twice to the property but got it all sorted and posted while on the line. So all done... Lifetime Globalist.
As an aside, I never really thought about lifetime or focused on it. I didn't even realize there was a lifetime tier until about 900K base points in :D. |
Welcome to the club 🥳

Great! One more person to fight for my curtesy upgrades! :(
Welcome to the club nevertheless. |

Congratulations and I am jealous. Got there with Marriott while I still had lots of work travel, but I still like Hyatt better.

Welcome to the club nevertheless. And I thought I was the only one (sigh) Personally I can't stand those fellow Lifetime Globes all seeking my sought after upgrade :) Will that be an ongoing battle for your new elite curtsy upgrade? ;) |

Good Sport!
And I thought I was the only one (sigh) Personally I can't stand those fellow Lifetime Globes all seeking my sought after upgrade :) Will that be an ongoing battle for your new elite curtsy upgrade? ;) So far really haven't had any luck with any type of upgrades, whether i book a short or long stay, stay at a PH, Andaz, GH or HR, spend 1K or 30K at a property.... Really sad but i really feel more love with GHA or Virtuoso upgrades than I do as a LT Hyatt.... |

Don't worry I am definitively not the one taking your curtsy upgrade!

Of course, he expects everyone to curtsy! "But I am a Diamond member!" Certainly, sir! And we welcome your giraffe as well... :) My giraffe appreciates the recognition as I do. Please do let the executive chef note all his dining preferences The minimum daily consumption is 33 pounds of a vegetarian diet. My Giraffe primarily eats the leaves and twigs of acacia, mimosa, and wild apricot trees. Typically, my giraffe will eat about 66 pounds of food a day on average. Kind Regards |
