yes they did not to long ago. During the old Hyatt... Award nights counted.

It's been 7-8 years now, they didn't count but if you had an incidental, it was likely to count.

It was happening a little later at some properties. I have a record of receiving at say & night credit at Hyatt Kyoto in Nov 2008 (just 4-5 years ago) on a FFN award with incidental charges of just 300 yen (about $3). This was not a one-off but happened a number of times at that same hotel that year. But off course it could have been limited to this, or to a small number of properties.

I have had award stays count (both stays and nights) as recently as this year. Only if there were incidental charges to the room.

I somehow ended up earning all 54,000 bonus points due to a lot of unanticipated travel. Not sure whether that's or
