I have an upcoming stay and read the entire thread. I saw some common themes, and thought it would be useful to start a wiki. Please feel free to update or correct anything. I haven't stayed here, so the information is based on the contents of the thread:

- Diamond Suite Upgrades are NOT available at this property.
- Diamond members receive a complimentary full breakfast for up to 4 guests.
- The beds are very firm platform beds. I saw a few posts where a foam pad for the top of the bed was requested.
- Docked cruise ships that may obstruct the view from the Harbour view rooms.
- The hotel is 4 stories.

The concierge desk offers a weekly tour of the Rocks on Saturday.

Link that shows when cruise ships will be docked opposite the hotel:

P+C gave me the option of booking directly out of a park king and into a city harbour king.

That would be nice. Was this recently? I'm only seeing Park King.

Recently but I'm sure it's like any other award booking, and not all units made available for awards. I looked three months in advance during winter months and found these rooms available with points and cash.

I don't think you can book a single night with points for suites...suites on points require a minimum of 3 nights.
Did you actually book this already or is it something you're just planning?
If the latter, I don't think your plan will work, but if you already book it, I'd love to hear more details.

All Opera category rooms have a direct view of the Opera House.

Opera King / Twin - 40-45 sqm (with 1 balcony)
Opera Delue - 75sqm (with 2 balconies)

City Harbour are the same size, but they don't have a direct view of the Opera House (although most can see it).

As for World of Hyatt - What a Joke!

Checked in the other day.

"standard upgrade" (for this property)
No 1K bonus points
No Fruit Bowl / comp amenity
No Welcome Letter

I had one balcony, so it seems my upgrade was to Opera King.

While this is my personal favorite room the hotel nevertheless should have done better by you. I don't understand why the PHS doesn't change branding and management if it doesn't want to participate in Hyatt's loyalty programs. Maybe become a Ritz Carlton or even go independent.

Interesting. Where will the RC be located and when is the opening date?

Wait, as a Globalist, am I 'entitled' to the Opera Deluxe at this property? Given it's the best available room...

RC are on an aggressive push in Australiasia after they pulled out of Australia 20 or so years ago where they had two properties https://www.ausbt.com.au/first-look-...e-star-pyrmont
