The shortest flight from Male Domestic terminal to Kooddoo Domestic Airport is ~55 minutes and the longest flight takes ~1 hour 45 minutes due to a ‘stop over’ in Kadhdhoo Domestic Airport.

A scenic and short speedboat journey of approximately 30-40 minutes (weather dependent) will follow as the final stretch of the journey to our island.
Any last minute name changes on domestic flight ticket are subject to a fee levied by the Maldivian Air. All such changes will be charged at the rate of USD 100 net per person. The exact flight timings are released two days before departure, but tend to be around these times:

Map of the resort
Best Villas
Water villas: Generally the higher number the better. #51 is the most private
How to save money during stay
Have late breakfast (breakfast is free for all guests except if you are redeeming points), skip lunch, and only pay for dinner
The Saturday free cocktail social (manager's reception) is at 6:30pm
Bring family?
This resort is not orientated for children. No kids club, pool is not suitable for young kids, and you will need to pay the transfers for each child, and plenty of PDA.
That said, some families have loved their experience here. http://travelsort.com/blog/park-hyat...hadahaa-review. If you bring children the Hyatt does provide sitting service for $20/hour.

Also note that the resort charges $250 per child age 3 and up per night (even if the child does not require an extra bed). Only kids 2 and under are free. http://travelsort.com/blog/park-hyat...a-bed-fee-ever
Wifi
As at January 2022, the resort's wifi speed is 10-12Mbps.
Tipping
The management views employees as each part of a team, with no one more important to the hotel's success. No one wants to order room service if the groundskeeper or housekeeper has not created an inviting place to enjoy it for instance. So employees share equally the 10% service charge added into everything, including the room charge. Tipping beyond that is not necessary, but at your discretion. Unlike the service charge which is shared with all employees on the entire property, if you choose to add additional gratuity to the bill for a meal or an activity, that money is shared amongst employees of the department responsible for that meal or service (e.g. additional gratuity on a dive center bill will be shared amongst those employees, while additional gratuity on a Dining Room bill will be shared amongst the food service employees). Employees are also allowed to keep cash tips that they receive directly. Employees are rewarded with trips and other gifts when their outstanding service is brought to management's attention. A great way to reward a good employee is by letter to management.
See this post which provides more details http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/22508516-post1525.html
Ipad App
There is an Ipad in each room that has an app with a lot of useful / interesting information. If you have an Ipad, you can search & download the app for: Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. It doesn't work on an iPhone due to the page size. Some info may be out of date or missing, so check with the resort.

Are the meal plan options new? Is there any benefit to them?

As m0hamed mentions, eating outside is risky because of the ants. We ate in room once and in the bar the other times. Agreed you cannot survive on snacks and breakfast alone. The bar has a nice assortment of lighter meals and we were served water when ever we ordered food so it really is your choice in terms of what you feel like on a given night. No downside to either.

My additional recommendation:

take dinner on your villa, its way better, drinks on your minibar are 50% cheaper than in the restaurant, its the same food, and you dont get charged for water, and you dont have to dress :P

We had room service outside a couple of times and I cannot remember a major ant problem.

For OW units, while there are ants in the units (no both if you keep loose food in zip locks you bring from home), a meal on the deck would be no issue at all. I suspect M0hamed was speaking to having an outside meal on a beach unit, where I can imagine the ants will swarm to food exposed for more than five minutes or so.

I agree snacks can't replace a second meal (with a large breakfast being the first meal), other than maybe one day in two or three, but they easily can replace a third meal (thus still having breakfast and dinner from the property) *for those that want to take this approach*.

I was talking about a beach (pool) villa.

One heck of a whirlwind trip. Made it here a couple nights ago, the fear of God instilled upon me as we dove for the Koodhoo runway and made the quickest stop in the history of aviation. (Maybe it was normal, but I was confident we were going to have to go around).

Booked two night Park Villa two nights Water Villa, upgraded to two nights Park Pool Villa, two nights Park Sunset Water Villa.

Did the equator excursion yesterday. Best excursion I've ever done. 1:30 to the equator from PHH, then 30 mins back to the atoll. Swam up to an island that couldn't be reached by boat, saw some amazing reef. Then onto inhabited island. Then to lunch on another uninhabited island. Felt pretty ritzy with a crew of 5 to serve the two of us. ---seriously, a boat-hand held an umbrella over my head while I sat at the very front of the boat on our approach to deserted island.

I have been searching all around the forum and through multiple sites and have not found information on the weather in August. I am going on my honeymoon and am going to Dubai and am thinking about going to the Maldives for 5 nights around mid August. What is the weather like during that time, would it be worth it to go or should I stay up in the north atol?

Here now and truly enjoying the island so far. The snorkeling is fantastic, followed the edge of the reef all the way from villa 51 to the welcome jetty today, amazing stuff. Food is great, breakfast is very filling with two mains allowed per person as well as access to the buffet with fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, breads, etc. Diamond drinks in the evening are great, canapés as well. Beverage discount has been reduced to 15% as confirmed a page or two back. For me it's not too big of a deal, my wife usually drink a fair amount during vacations and due to the heat, activity level we haven't had too much outside of the welcome amenity and Diamond drinks.

Staying three nights in villa 51 and then three in a pool villa number tbd. The heat issue is of serious concern in the water villas. This time of year it's completely impossible to keep it cool even with the shades drawn 100% and the bathroom closed off from the main area. 27-29 C is the norm in the afternoon and if you're lucky you can get it down to 23-25 in the evening. It is pretty hot here so maybe you can do better in other times of the year. We did have guest services deliver a fan which helps in the evenings. Outside of the a/c problems it's a great villa, truly private from the others and access to premium snorkeling. Just a quick 60 second swim out to the edge of the reef and shelf with great coral and wildlife. Plenty of shark sightings, still looking for turtles and rays.

Staff is wonderful and absolutely fabulous. Our host Jay is a gem, studied hospitality at UNLV genuinely enjoyes her job here. Some of the other staff is more personable than others and I think it's largely based on their level of fluency in English. Those that are more fluent are happy to chat it up about anything while others are more reserved.

The distance is a blessing as it helps you disconnect but in reality, it's very far. From the time we were wheels up at LAX it was 40 hours to our villa including 13 hours in AUH at the premier inn for a quick overnight.

We're off to do some sunset yoga now, reluctantly on my part but Diamond drinks are my reward afterwards.

I'm glad you agree about the temperature issue in the WV's. I really think it is a deal-breaker for that room type. I would not return to this property if I could only stay in a Water Villa. Our room was hitting 30 degrees during the day with all blinds closed. Only hit 23 at night a couple of times. Our two nights in a Park Villa were infinitesimally better than our 5 in a WV.

I was really worried about the air conditioning issues when we booked after reading this thread. We stayed in an Over Water Villa (Villa #41) for four nights in March. During the day with the blinds shut the water villa would heat up to to 27 degrees then at night it would get down to 22 degrees but never lower. We live in a hot climate so it didn't bother us much.

I had a fear about the temps, too, and now that I'm at Conrad Rangali, I can tell it was a lot worse of at PH (at least comparing the basic villas) our water villa at Hyatt (47) was warm, but not unbearable by any means. I will say that after 4 nights of waking up in sweat (PH Abu Dhabi, PH Dubai, and our first night at PH Maldives), we finally requested lighter blankets/sheets, and problem was solved.
