A scenic and short speedboat journey of approximately 30-40 minutes (weather dependent) will follow as the final stretch of the journey to our island.
Any last minute name changes on domestic flight ticket are subject to a fee levied by the Maldivian Air. All such changes will be charged at the rate of USD 100 net per person. The exact flight timings are released two days before departure, but tend to be around these times:

Map of the resort
Best Villas
Water villas: Generally the higher number the better. #51 is the most private
How to save money during stay
Have late breakfast (breakfast is free for all guests except if you are redeeming points), skip lunch, and only pay for dinner
The Saturday free cocktail social (manager's reception) is at 6:30pm
Bring family?
This resort is not orientated for children. No kids club, pool is not suitable for young kids, and you will need to pay the transfers for each child, and plenty of PDA.
That said, some families have loved their experience here. http://travelsort.com/blog/park-hyat...hadahaa-review. If you bring children the Hyatt does provide sitting service for $20/hour.

Also note that the resort charges $250 per child age 3 and up per night (even if the child does not require an extra bed). Only kids 2 and under are free. http://travelsort.com/blog/park-hyat...a-bed-fee-ever
Wifi
As at January 2022, the resort's wifi speed is 10-12Mbps.
Tipping
The management views employees as each part of a team, with no one more important to the hotel's success. No one wants to order room service if the groundskeeper or housekeeper has not created an inviting place to enjoy it for instance. So employees share equally the 10% service charge added into everything, including the room charge. Tipping beyond that is not necessary, but at your discretion. Unlike the service charge which is shared with all employees on the entire property, if you choose to add additional gratuity to the bill for a meal or an activity, that money is shared amongst employees of the department responsible for that meal or service (e.g. additional gratuity on a dive center bill will be shared amongst those employees, while additional gratuity on a Dining Room bill will be shared amongst the food service employees). Employees are also allowed to keep cash tips that they receive directly. Employees are rewarded with trips and other gifts when their outstanding service is brought to management's attention. A great way to reward a good employee is by letter to management.
See this post which provides more details http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/22508516-post1525.html
Ipad App
There is an Ipad in each room that has an app with a lot of useful / interesting information. If you have an Ipad, you can search & download the app for: Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. It doesn't work on an iPhone due to the page size. Some info may be out of date or missing, so check with the resort.

I could do a month there, but I'm huge into scuba and snorkeling.
If one is not a total ocean person (and more of a pool person, or lounging with cocktails person), then IMO 14 days is too long. But, if one just wants to relax and say read or chill and loves an ocean/beach view, then I can see a couple of weeks being fine.

Can someone who has experience with Shoreline Dining provide a review? Looking to do something romantic and it's between this and Starlight Terrace dining, but shoreline is $100 cheaper.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what it was called when we were there, but we did private dining on the beach under a wooden 'altar' like structure. Our waiter was also our host for the entire time, which was a nice touch. They also set up some bean bags and a little table way out on the beach by ourselves and gave us complimentary wine to drink there to watch the sunset prior to dinner, which was really nice. They'll customize the dinner menu to what you want, within reason. They brought me a menu for approval around lunchtime on the day of, and I made some minor modifications. It was probably 5 courses, and a TON of food. You will not leave hungry. Salad, apps, some kind of meat/seafood, dessert. It was a 2+ hour meal. The ambiance was spectacular, as they set up a bunch of candles all around the table, and the meal was only candle-lit. We did this on our last night, which was also my wife's birthday, so it was perfect.

I will say, however, it was not inexpensive. I don't know what they quote for the price, but by the time all was said and done, it was a $500 meal. That included a number of drinks and extra gratuity for our server (above and beyond the 10% service fee). It was also the most romantic dinner I've ever been able to pull off, and a great way to end our 10 days there.

I just left the resort today and I have to agree with others that the dining there are very reasonable compares to other Maldivian Resorts but I still dislike the fact that they charge water in the restaurant. What's the point?

Thanks! I think that might be the beach dinner for $395 (plus gratuity and tax). That does sound romantic and probably worth the extra $100. Thanks for sharing!

Hello! Ok, this is my first post, but I have been a lurker for quite some time.

I just completed a seven night stay at the PH Maldives. I am a diamond so we were upgraded to a Park Pool Villa (no. 26).

First service was outstanding. I am vegetarian and my wife is not, and the staff would often make customized dishes just for us. The hotel has two (amazing) south Indian chefs, who would make their local specialties just for us. Additionally, I got a little sick over my stay, and my concierge just took me to the doctor straight away (the doctor lives on the resort), and the doctor even had my slightly obscure medicine available. Additionally, my wife needed something, and they had it brought on the next ship.

We are not big divers, so I think i will defer to other reviews on this page. However, we did a lot of swimming, and we did swim with the some of the coral sharks which was a little scary but not at all dangerous.

We did the sunset yoga, and a couple of massages, which were a little on the expensive side, but still very relaxing!

I noticed people were discussing the sunset dining, we did that as well. That is the one thing, I think probably was not worth the price. With drinks, tax and service you are looking at around $550-600. I think just eating at the restaurant and spending more money on massages/excursions would probably be a better use of our money. The food quality did not seem higher than the normal food in the restaurant.

Additionally, there has been some discussion of the number of nights you should stay, for us, I think six or seven nights would have been perfect. But we are not divers, who I suspect would have done more activities than us.

Overall, we had a great time, every meal was tasty, service was great, and the beach and coral was beautiful.

Great review and welcome to flyertak!

May I ask what massages do you recommend? I am also going with my wife and we would like to do a couple's massage

We did the standard couple's massage (booked in advance to avail the 10% discount) and we also did a couple's massage which incorporated a 'scrub, wrap and massage', this was a 2 hour massage. Although, we did not book this one in advance, the hotel had a 20% discount for massages between 9am-11am during the time we spent there. Note this did force us to get up early and have a shorter breakfast, but certainly worth the greater than $100 saving.

I have not had many massages before, but the wrap was certainly a very different experience for both of us.

Hi lovely folks. I have a very random question related to the PH Maldives. I'm going with my boyfriend at the beginning of Feb 2016. As I was perusing the hotel website for more information on things to do (besides the snorkeling/lounging/sleeping/eating/other nice island pursuits), I noticed mention of a "Mutteyfushi water sport island." After some google research, it appears that it's some sort of dedicated water sport place that guests have to buy a package to go to. Has anyone gone yet to this island, (15 min from the hotel), and thoughts? Thanks!
