Just wanted to thank you for posting this fantastic deal. Here now with a friend that also booked it, and as other's have said, absolutely no hassle at check in.

i seem to remember last year hearing people were denied if you weren't a member. but i think it just requires a quick signup on the RC website or something so maybe better safe than sorry...

Not that I ever heard and no, to join you have to have sailed with them previously. Per their site, 'You can join after just one sailing!'

as you can bill food and bev charges to your room from any MLife resort makes sense the credit would apply to those charges.

guess i'll find out in 2 weeks
my DH lost his Mlife card (we usually do TR) but needed his number for the myvegas redemptions. Called last week & they provided it without any hassle. The agent asked if we needed accommodations. I told her we had res booked via the RCCL promo @ MGM. She asked if I wanted her to add my RCCL past guest account # to my portfolio. Told her I had no idea offhand what is was.
Don't recall ever getting an ID card to show as proof that we have sailed with them to present. There was nothing on the offer we received that stated you had to produce any sort of RCCL past guest ID. Worst case, I can log into my past guest account with RCCL and access it but I don't expect be asked to produce it.

I'm planning my first trip to Vegas this coming January for CES and I'm looking for some help. The hotels are all absurdly pricey that week (which isn't a surprise I guess), but I've narrowed it down to the following:
Tropicana: 735.63 for 5 nights - I have Hilton gold benefits here.
Ballys: 700.03 for 5 nights - free breakfast.
Excalibur: $656.71 for 5 nights - I Have MLife gold here and I would be in the contemporary tower.
The nights are 1/5 - 1/10 and I want to stay on the strip. I found non strip hotels for much cheaper, however, since this is my first trip to Vegas I'd like it to be on the strip.
So, has anyone ever stayed at any of these hotels? If so, which would you recommend?

Excalibur and Trop are south strip. I like that area but many consider it away from the main action center part of the strip. Bally's has best most central location.
Trop has best rooms and pool area. Casino is blah and I've seen hobos in and out the entrance which is almost unheard of for the big strip properties. Excalibur has more families and kids. Bally's has shut down some restaurants (?) but has a big generic kind of casino.
IMHO all 3 are fine but my preference would be Bally's, Tropicana then Excalibur last.

i'd go for Ballys. and as you've noticed CES is basically among the most expensive times to stay there along with NYE and EDC. if you are okay switching hotels at some point you might want to play around with your dates and stay at a 4-5* a few days and then Ballys for the others.
