Lmtclub.com is a bit cheaper for my dates. Would anyone know, if I book the classic room there, can I call the hotel and pay for an upgrade to a suite? Sorry, if this is the wrong forum to ask in.

Why not book a suite on lmtclub.com to begin with?

Because the hotel quoted me 40$ for an upgrade from a standard room, which would make it cheaper than buying the suite on lmtclub. I didn't want to ask whether that price applied for rooms purchased on lmtclub.

X posting because I think I put it in a dead thread.

has it been a year already?

I want to be at or near the Mongoloid Bay poker room during the BTK Jewelry Convention on the weekend of May 30th. Last year I was fortunate to get a deep discount at the MB for a base rate of @$60 + 23 resort fee. Not bad for my first time at a supposed 5*.

This year the Bay is not being so generous and it appears that South Strip isn't cutting prices that for May 30th. Suggestions? Should just book Hooters now and plan on walk or cabbing?

Seeking Advice- Lase Vegas Travel in October

Hello,
My family (2 adults and one child, 2 1/2) is looking to visit Las Vegas the second week in October. The flights are booked. The hotel/casino is outstanding at this time, and this is where I am looking for advice.

Family trip will be from October 5th to October 7th. Currently, considering staying at Luxor and/or Excalibur. We prefer to stay on the main strip, if possible.

I have been monitoring the individual casino websites, Mlife and hotels.com. Is there another area you recommend to visit? Where do you find rates cheaper?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.
-Sandra

I would check out Planet Hollywood. It is a more central location. Has plenty within very close walking.

October is still too far out for a lot of promotions. Many people would suggest booking a refundable hotel reservation and seeing if you can find a better deal closer to the date of your vacation. If you already have an Mlife membership with some play at Excalibur or Luxor, you might be eligible for casino rates at that resort. The resort's VIP Services/Mlife reservations agents would be able to assist you with this. The VIP Services line does not charge a phone booking fee.

smartervegas and lmtclub.com (free membership codes can be found online) often have good deals on Las Vegas hotels. LMTClub's rates aren't always proportional to publicly-available rates. For example, sometimes the Flamingo costs less than the Quad or Planet Hollywood costs less than Harrah's.

With a 2.5 year old, the Flamingo's flamingo (and other animal) habitat might be a favorite attraction. Rooms at the Flamingo are affordable and the resort is at the center of the Strip.

If you're open to staying somewhat off strip, the Westin often has good rates. One of the condo-type hotels might also be a good choice. There are several on the Strip or right off the Strip.

As I will be in Vegas in July, I am looking for some resort credits at Palazzo - is there any? Or, other way round, as it is my first time there: How may i get the best value out of my Visit? I'd like to do some gambling, but some "free money" for a start would come in handy..is there such thing?

personally I would avoid both Luxor and Excalibur, and even more so with a small child. Both properties are extremely dated and not very convenient with respect to location. Apart from the sites mentioned, I often use mycheapvegas.com which is free to sign up for and they often have a lot of very good promos on offer from the various properties.

when you get there, make sure you enroll in mlife and totalrewards. use your card whenever you play, even $5 in a slot machine, and you should see some good rates online for your next trip. don't forget about resort fees, which double what you're paying at the Lux or Excal. FWIW, I would never bring a small child to either of those two places.

Best advice for you staying at Palazzo/Venetian is to decline resort fee. When you check in, tell them you want to decline it and that'll save you $28/night instantly.
