Alcohol was good, food was… judge for yourself. So much text for the bits of stuff on bits of bread you’d think it was a feast and so fancy. Very, very BArb .
No free Hoppa it’s £5.50 according to a sign on the desk.

Yeah they were OK. One thing to note is that this is the way things are going. Stuff you'd probably not eat home and would scoff to your friends if it was served at a wedding. There are few hotels left that serve a dinner and it will continue to decrease. I think they will struggle to sell upgrades in the long run.
Here they at least have more than the required four spirits. I think two of the beers were 0% and that's Rekorderlig, which is unusual for a lounge IME.
If I were starting out on the status game, I'd probably rethink it.

https://www.brake.co.uk/meal-solutions/savoury-products/buffet-sharers/mixed-selections-thaw-serve/tipiak-luxury-temptation-canapes/p/117411 yes here we go! "Tipiak Luxury Temptation". That's soooo BA.
An assortment of thaw 'n' serve canapes, 5 each of 9 varieties; Blini with Cheese, Smoked Salmon And Lemon x 5, Cheese with Basil And Prawn On Spinach Bread x 5, Cheese with Horseradish And Crayfish On Lemon Basil Cake x 5, Bresaola, Cheese With Mustard And Honey, Sesame Seeds On Special Grain Bread x 5, Semi Dried Cherry Tomato, Goat's Cheese And Pecan Nuts On Walnut Bread x 5, Courgette, Mini Rolls And Red Pepper On Tomato Bread x 5, Comte Cheese, Semi Dried Apricot And Almond Profiterole x 5, Crab, Cucumber And Trout Roe Profiterole x 5, Fig, Brie Cheese And Pea Semolina On Spiced Bread x 5. (1 x 45)
Surely this is pre-discount? Those 45 fimbles don't really cost £35.69 do they? 0.79p each
They'd be better off following in the Home Office's footsteps and call for a few Domino's and cut them up.
Here's the pork belly https://www.brake.co.uk/meat-poultry...-bites/p/58336
And the cheese bites https://www.brake.co.uk/meal-solutio...ppers/p/130261

I bet the Hoppa monopoly is enjoying T4 being shut.
Essentially you need to add on £11 per person to your hotel rate to get to Heathrow.
Pretty sure that it used to be free, however the website now says fees apply.
Although it does say that shuttles go to T2, T3 and T5 on a regular basis. So assume that there is more than one shuttle.

My recollection is that the Hoppa bus has always been a pay service. The T5 Hilton used to run their own shuttle bus, and that was free, but they said the airport made them stop. There used to be free city busses one could take to a stop across the street or something. Presumably the different shuttles are the different Hoppa busses that go to the various terminals.
Fairly sure that when the bridge to T4 first shut it was free.

Upgrade prices
Hi
Just got an email offering prices to upgrade my stay starting next Thursday for3 nights
currently King deluxe
To king executive £15pn
Junior Suite £72pn
Executive suite £181pn
As a diamond💎 I will just wait for a hopefully auto upgrade to king executive as I get lounge access anyway.
If j was gold or had no status the 15gbp per night is reasonable if you get lounge access and take advantage of the evening snacks and drinks.
Regards

I think it's been captured above, but the "FreeFlow Heathrow" free bus on the TfL bus services has stopped, and I doubt it will ever come back, despite how useful it was.
I am a big fan of the T4 Hilton and I had some fantastic service there, been there on my birthday in 2019 and again in 2021 and the staff are very consistent. I've only ever stayed in a King Exec Room, but I must comment, they are on the smaller size of rooms, but perfectly formed for a night before a flight (Or 4 nights hanging around watching planes and socialising with friends who live around the airport as I did in September just gone.
