I'm not as familiar with LHR as you are, but I'm getting the sense that LHR is a bit of a mess and hard to get to by transit, depending on the terminal. Are there any long-term plans to simplify and make the airport easier to navigate regardless of which terminal we're departing from or which hotel we're staying in?
Not that I'm aware of. Even if the third runway is built, due to the infrastructure layout there will be difficulties depending on the location. Although I think once T4 opens the tube line will run Hatton Cross, T4, T5, T2&3, Hatton cross so it will make journeys from T4 to T5 easier i think,

We now use the hoppa bus - although once the terminal reopens we will use that.
Worth noting if you are disabled there is a free service that will take you from terminal to terminal.

At the moment the TfL buses are the best way from T4 Hilton to T5. Take 482 or 490 from the Starlight Way stop.

It would be terrific if there was a direct train or tube option between T4 and T5. Needing to transfer at T2/T3 is a pain and adds delay.

pdf appears to have been issued by Heathrow. That said, Heathrow.com is still showing Qatar flights in July departing from T5.
I appreciate Heathrow’s comms and IT are about as effective as an ashtray on a motorbike, but beyond this undated announcement,is there any corroboration?

I don't know if the company was Windsor Cars or not (I couldn't make out the name when I called the number provided by the hotel, sounded like "Travel Deals" or some such, and the charge came through as ZTL*Khalid Khan. What was the problem you had with Windsor Cars? Was it just that the driver you had sped (or maybe drove too slow), or were there other issues?

Breakfast starts at 06:30. Sadly, no salmon today, and the chef said it was gone "at least for the season". Also no blueberries. My two favorite aspects of breakfast here now gone.

Looks like June 14 is still the planned re-opening date for T4...
