No. Poor quality sausage now. Crispy bacon also gone.

Not as good as it used. Which is sad 😔

I also have another stay booked soon, looking forward to checking out the new lounge. I think breakfast here is really outstanding for the UK and I like the way they open for continental really early for those with early flights or whatever.

I hope/expect you'll like the new lounge. They made the right decision to remove the hot breakfast from the lounge. The spread in the past - always quite bountiful - was hardly touched. The current approach/offering (pastries/coffee/juices) is fine, imho.

I don't think 0530 is particularly early considering that people might need to travel to T2/3/5 and arrive there at 0500.

Although it may be like a self-fulfilling prophecy, as I tend to only stay at LHR hotels (and thus consume their breakfast) when I have a flight around 10-11am. With flights before 0800 I'll just drive to the airport at 0400 or take the first bus/train if doable.

Next month I'm going to brave an early LTN flight for the first time, and even the 0430 breakfast start at the Hampton there is too late. I might as well just take the last train after midnight and hang around for 2 hours.

Back here again for a couple of nights.

Not too busy at the moment - but still early

Same as always.

Should they be any different?

I've always thought of the Hilton T4 as a 1 night transit hotel. If you don't mind sharing, what is there to do for a few more nights in the area ?

Easy for me to do business in the area.

I might stay for 2 or 3 nights at a time.

any reason for T4 over Hilton T5 ? I remember the T5 had it's own car park and IMHO a more modern hotel (granted I've not been back to LHR since Hilton T4 was refurbished)

Hi

Hilton t4 has a lot better transport links than the hilton t5 as it is connected by walkway to t4 for train and tube links. Although from terminal 5 to the t4 hilton can be a bit convoluted if going by train
t5 relies on the hoppa or walking to get the public busses ( otherwise car or taxi)
with your own car t5 is a better hotel ( not sure on the parking charges at hilton t4 or t5)

Regards

Tbs

I can easily park

The staff are great

I can get the Elizabeth line easily into town, or drive to other locations around the M25 or local roads.

Recently stayed two nights as it was middway on my journey.

It just works.

Back for a few nights and happy/shocked to report the lift to the Health Club is functional. Crispy bacon on offer at breakfast, too. OxBo Bar/Restaurant packed tonight which is great to see. Happy hour wasn't too crowded/busy, although food offerings weren't stellar (Lamb and Beetroot falafel - - wth). Beers - Heineken and Bud. I miss the days of Becks and Stella being on offer.

Just curious - as a diamond, do you still get breakfast in the restaurant or is it "only" in the exec. lounge?
Thanks HJ
