Parc 55 is closest to BART, Hilton Union Square is across the street from it (but entrance two blocks further).

Question Hilton outside San Francisco walking (BART) station?

Hello I will be attending a teachers congress in San Francisco, our budget is $150 a night so we cant stay in any Hilton Downtown (prices $300 and up)
I need some help for a nice Hilton outside San Francisco with walking to a the BART so we can take the subway to the congress downtown?
Thanks already for the advice. We are with women so must be very safe.

Even with a budget of $150 a night you'll be hard pressed to find a Hilton hotel, especially if there's a big conference in town, that hits your price point. Your best bet will be one of the properties out by the airport and then split an uber/lyft with others to/from the conference. The ride isn't that expensive if you share it with others.

You haven't said what time of the year, but even assuming there isn't a big tech conference in town, $150 doesn't get you a lot in the Bay Area midweek. I ran a cursory search and some properties around the airport sometimes go for $160-200, but it's not a direct walk to BART: you'd have to get the hotel shuttle to/from the airport and BART from there.

Have done the trek out to Walnut Creek and this property several times when in town for tech conferences. 40m each way on BART will save you $500 a night versus downtown, and I like the fact that the hotel is literally across the street from the Pleasant Hill BART station, ergo no waiting for shuttles.

Not sure what your acceptable walking distance is, but the closest BART to there is North Berkeley which is probably a good 40-45+ minute walk. Just make sure you're not confusing the Berkeley Amtrak stop on the map with a BART station.

Also, once you get west of the highway the area is not very built-up. The parks are nice to walk through in the day, but not sure I'd want to really be walking through there late at night.

I’d prioritize convenience (less walking distance and total transit time each way) and safety over brand.

A $150 budget in SF bites

Really need some dates here. The Berkeley Marina is FAR away from most things.
Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown is a good option, so is Daly City.

For Berkeley Marina, its an hour plus on Public Transit. You can also take a Ferry, but its still and hour+.

I get hotel loyalty, and I get per deim cost, but time is money here.

Give me some dates and we can see what we can find.

If you could stomach a Marriott, the Millbrae Fairfield Inn is close to both BART and Caltrain, and is usually about $100/night.

Given your desire for convenience, this is a very poor choice.
