Thanks! I just applied for the card so when it arrives I will book my award nights.
Also, does anyone know if there is a way to change the statement end date? I ask this question because I can quickly meet the minimum spend of $750, and it would be great if the 40k bonus points posted sooner than later.

Question: I just booked my first ever AXON award. I received the certificate, confirmation email of the reservation and points were deducted.
However, the certificate was issued for a "category 6" hotel and the property is now a category 7 hotel (it was one of the properties that moved up recently.
I confirmed with the agent on the phone that they were deducting the correct amount of points and she confirmed it was allowing her to book it this way. The reservation confirmation reflects the correct certificate number(i was surprised to even receive this cert email - i thought this practice had stopped?).
Should I be concerned or should I just roll with it?

If you booked it afterwards, I'd be concerned and I'd call back to make sure.

Question regarding the booking of multiple rooms with AXON award
I'm looking at booking a couple of AXON awards at the El San Juan Resort and Casino in Puerto Rico. Do my gold benefits carry with each room booked? So if I book three awards for the same four days will each room receive wifi and a couple of continental breakfasts?

Please look at the Hhonors T&C, including those for Gold benefits or do a search on the topic. This question has come up at least 3 times in the last 2 days alone.

For example:
You will receive complimentary Continental breakfast for you and up to one additional registered hotel guest in the same room each day of your stay.

To clarify the above post - Is any room listed as a standard award eligible even if the room itself would be considered premium otherwise? If you need a room with two beds and three different room types are listed under the standard award with two beds do you get to request one of these three room types or does the axon only guarantee your bed and smoking preference?

Standard as used here means identified by the property as regular rate redemption inventory, not as 'unspecial'. If you have a choice of bedding or view that appeals to you available as a Standard award, select it.

I just made an AXON award at a cat 6 hotel for 4 nights. I have done this lots of times. I have never received an email with the subject line HHonors Reward. Here's why I am confused. The Reward cert says it is good for4 nights at any Cat 1 - Cat 6 hotel. It doesnt say its an AXON award and it just seemed odd as I never got one of these before. It does have a control number that is the same as on the actual reservation that I made using AXON.
Has anyone recd something like this. New for me.

I just booked an AXON award for the Frankfurt Hilton and it show's on the confirmation 136K points instead of the 125K it should be. 125K points were taken out of my account however, so I think the error is still ongoing.

Is there any benefit to using the AXON reward over a VIP reward for a 5-night Cat 6 stay?
