First, we were upgraded to a family room for 2 days, and to a 1 bedroom suite sea view for the next 5 days. The 1 bedroom suite upgrade should have been for the whole stay if I had not checked-in and used the digital key the day before arrival.

Hilton London Kensington: booked a Double Guestroom (entry level room) and upgraded to a Junior Suite two days before my arrival
The Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton: booked the cheapest room (King Gantry Room) and upgraded to a Gantry Suite two weeks in advance

Checked in to the Hilton Nordica in Reykjavik this afternoon for 7 nights with my wife.
originally booked a twin double but saw the hotel was full, so expected to get what I’d booked.
when I got to reception I was asked if I would mind if they could upgrade me to the king presidential suite!
