DoubleTree KL, booked base room on standard award for 3 nights (30,000 pts total) in October 2018.
I was originally upgraded to a 1 King Bed Executive Suite, but by the time I checked in, I had been "downgraded" to a 1 King Bed Deluxe Suite.

Hilton Bath, upgraded from DOUBLE HILTON RIVER VIEW to a suite - frankly just a large and peculiarly shaped room, arrived after dark, left before dawn so never really got the benefit of the river view!

Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek, Orlando FL USA. October 2018. Booked a Deluxe King as a standard points award with 5th night free benefit from HH Amex card. Checked in online the day before arrival and selected a room (no upgrade). At check-in, I asked about a Diamond upgrade and we were moved to a suite.

Hilton Grosvenor, Edinburgh. App check-in confirmed upgrade to a Junior Suite so gladly took that! Slightly wasted on me as didn't arrive till 11pm and frankly not much too it, but it's the thought that counts, and I think this is the first time I've ever been upgraded here!

Booked 2 Queen standard room at Hilton Austin for 3 night stay as the preferred 1 king bed room not available due to large conference in town. Pre-selected room on Hilton app the day before check in. Arrived at hotel around 1 pm- room not ready yet but said checking it would be ready within an hour. Went for lunch and arrived back after 3 pm- room still not ready. A new agent was at the front desk and was apologetic about the wait. She checked to see if another room could be ready and asked if a king bedded 1 bedroom suite would work in lieu of the 2 queen beds. Very nice, large room. Nice property.

Hilton Mainz booked basic rooms, got breakfast and they gave me 2 drink vouchers acknowledging there was no club lounge in the hotel, room had a Rhine view but nothing special about it otherwise

Really excited to say I booked a strip view room on points at the Waldorf Astoria and pre-arrival after a note to the concierge about a special occasion I’ll be two catagories up into a panoramic strip view one bedroom suite.
