even if redeemed you won't see it - hilton these days does not list redemption until stay occurs however point are taken out... how much they take out - it's up to you to track: this year once they took out 200K for 4 nt axon at ES waikiki instead of 145, the other time for another axon they took 170K and charged my cc $110 as i only have 159K... thankfully i noticed both times... who knows maybe i missed smth while trying to burn half-million points in predevaluation frenzy...
good luck!

I had 70,000 points missing and called Hilton. They asked if I had a nice award stay in Miami. But no, I was at work in Rotterdam - Netherlands.
Without much discussion they added the points back to my account. I did change my password though.

This is true of the new Hilton Hhonors site, but I discovered I could still log into the old UK Hhonors site using a bookmark I had saved. I still prefer this old format - and it still works for the moment!

https://secure.hilton.co.uk/HiWayWeb...ernate_hhonors

Log on and click through "View My HHonors Activity" -> "Redemption History"

It doesn't tell you the property but it shows the points leaving your account and for what Category of hotel and the Cert number.

Randomly this is the only Hhonors site that lets me view my reservations made through our corporate hotel booking system - the new site simply says "This reservation cannot be managed online".

Thanks Pryonic!^ I hate the new website and prefer the old layout. Now I can easily track my points.

Thank you for the UK link!!! I don't know why the US website won't let you see the redemption history until you actually stayed at the hotel. Your points are gone, but you won't see them gone 8 months from now... that's just stupid.

The new version of Hilton UK doesn't now either, I luckily had this one saved as a bookmark and they've not taken it down yet. Unless you know the address you can't get to this version any more!

thanks pyronic, i tried the link and it worked. i like it much better than the US version which is too cluttered but less information compared with the old website. i like the fact that it shows the point redemptions in the account, i just need to match that up with the redemptions i made before 3/28.

i was on a booking frenzy on 3/27 trying to burn 1M points with some speculative bookings, 70% of which i will probably cancel as my schedule for vacations become clearer.

Is there a possibility that you had no points going into your account for 12 months straight? If so, maybe they went inactive. Redeeming points do not count toward points coming in (or keeping the account active).

The other thing that may have happened, since you say you were on a booking frenzy for redemptions, if you cancelled a reward stay online or through a hotel, then maybe the reward did not get cancelled at the same time (usually best to call into hhonors to let them cancel these to avoid any possible issues for the points not going back into your account).

These are just a few possibilities.

This happened to me. One online cancellation did not return the 40K pts back. Called HHonor multiple times and every agent said to wait 10 business days before they would open a case until I finally found a sympathetic agent after 7 days had already passed, and she was willing to contact the supervisor who re-deposited back the 40K pts.

I never understand such delay in returning the points if an issue is clearly identified, cancellation number readily available. SPG occasionally has such SNAFUs but the agent can immediately re-deposit the points back once s/he has the cancellation number and be able to see the cancellation in SPG system.

Just noticed that over 200k points were missing from my account. Using the link above I could see some transactions for redemptions and after a call to Hilton they claimed it was for a stay this year in March where there was some issue with the certificate and the hotel needed to charge me again. I checked my history and this is definitely not the case. They are now investigating.

There was, however, a stay back in March 2012 where I remember the hotel refunded my points for part of the stay. We had some major issues at the resort and I took it as a gesture of goodwill not being charged for half of my stay. Question is if Hilton do come back and say this was indeed for my stay in 2012 not 2013 is this really feasible for the hotel to now come back and charge me again after such a long time? And especially as I am a frequent guest at this hotel I would have expected an email first to say what they are trying to do.

Points missing on September AmEx Surpass statement!

If your Surpass account closed in the last few days, check your online statement: looked at mine this morning to find bonus points awarded but ZERO base points for regular spend on a substantial balance.

Called and AmEx eventually admitted that there was an error in their system around 9/18-9/20 and they were working on the problem. Rep said that calling would expedite my missing points being credited...hope so!

Hilton Shopping Portal Points Missing

I used the Hilton Shopping Portal for the first time recently. I needed a few extra points in my Hilton account, so I decided to give them a try.

I purchased a computer from Toshiba.com (2X the points) for $800. My points from the Hilton Shopping Portal posted today and they only gave me 8 points instead of 1,600!!!

I emailed them...I hope the points will post. Sigh.

Does anyone have any experience with this portal?

Exclamation Have Hilton Branded CC? You may be missing a lot of points!

A few weeks back noticed a charge on my AMEX statement I did not recognize for “Palace Dumbrava” in Romania. After looking into it I figured out it was the Hilton SIBIU in Romania who charged me for a pre paid stay coming up later this year. No place on my American Express statement did this charge show the hotel was a Hilton Hotel. I also did not get the 9 points per $ for this charge but only 3 per $. I contacted AMEX who told me, it was not a Hilton hotel. After trying to prove this to them, they said call Hilton. So I contacted Hilton, they said contact AMEX and back and forth. There is still no solution after many weeks of back and forth.

I just went back a calendar year and see that 6 hotels also do not show up as a Hilton or Hilton brand when it hits the American Express system, therefore not triggering the system to post the extra 9 points per dollar. After my quick check of just one calendar year I’m missing over 15,000 points. I have had a Hilton Branded AMEX for over 10 years, just how much more is missing?

I have posted screenshots of the way it shows on my AMEX statement on my blog.

I have sent this issue to Hilton many times and to the Hilton Rep on FT and still can not get them to really do anything about it. I have been emailed about the issue but Hilton keeps telling me to call AMEX. Someone at Hilton; who I do think is the reasonable party in the mess; needs to get this issue fixed. Could this be a class action lawsuit?

The hotels I have noticed issues with are:
The Morrison, a Doubletree by Hilton – Dublin, Ireland
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Dunblane Hydo – Dunblane, Scotland
Hilton Sibiu – Sibiu, Romania
Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel – Istanbul Turkey
Hilton Molino Stuck Venice – Venice Italy
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Lisbon Fontana Park – Lisbon, Portugal

I’m sure this is not just an AMEX issue but could and most likely is effecting the CITI bank Hilton cards as well.

If you find any other hotels not showing as a Hilton Brand as they should in the CC systems please list it here.
