Hertz Canada has mostly Toyota Highlander LEs in that class now.
I'm old fashioned when it comes to off-roaders. Doubtless the Mazda is better to drive but I know which one I'd rely on to get me out of trouble.

Interesting fact: Although the Australian Camry got the same exterior updates the US Camry did in 2015, it still has the original interior from the 2012 Camry.

Received: Nissan Maxima (G) w/ 36K miles, NeverLost and active XM.

Ended up having to exchange the Maxima at SAN because Hertz charged me for NL without letting me know. I'll chalk it up to me not paying attention at the time (just got off a 11 hour flight).

Exchanged it for a Chevrolet Malibu LT (F) with 8K miles.

Also had a backup reservation at National. They only had Fusions and pickup trucks so decided to take the Avalon from Hertz.

It's about a $50k sticker, I think (or $53k with AWD). They seem (based on TrueCar) to actually be getting pretty close to sticker for them.

Agree, though, the fully-loaded Impala is about $13k cheaper...

You're right, it's "only" $50k as it's a FWD. I saw the Bose stereo and thought it was the 14-speaker upgrade in the Premium Luxury and got the price from that - but actually even the base model has an 8-speaker Bose system with too much bass.

New to the Hertz forum, got Presidential Choice as a UA premier 1K so started renting with Hertz, plus the USAA and DAV/VFW discounts are ok since I am renting every weekend the last few months.
Last weekend in PHL, where they just redid the lot for the choice program, I had reserved a B class; with the new system their had to walk way over around the main bldg. and played dumb and got a nice new Infinity. Guy told me I had to be in a C to get that next time but gave it to me at no extra charge "just this once" which I think he did since it was 1am. Only had it about 20 hours but OK nonetheless.
