LAX is an Ultimate Choice location, so I went over to the PC section and picked one of the two Q50s there. (There were also a couple more in the paid premium upgrade section three spots over.) This is the first time I can legitimately say I received an upgrade at LAX with calling it an "upgrade", and this is the first time I rented at LAX since UC became a thing. Time will tell if it was a fluke or an improvement...

In 2015 I've had several car problems with FLL so they gave me a Silverado on a B class Multi Month reservation.
Drove that truck almost 10 months at a ridiculous price. Tags from Nebraska, 4x4 V6 2015 Double Cab white Silverado with the bench seat in the front. Steady 20mpg, fantastic drive felt great on the road, no other vehicle is like a truck..Even my wife loved it.
I never saw a full size truck again at FLL, only Nissan Frontiers..

Received: K6 2016 Dodge Journey SXT. Very tired car with 39,000 miles and worn wheel bearings. The 4-cylinder engine and archaic 4-speed transmission really don't help much, either.

Nearly fell over on this one...
Reserved a 2 week award for a Premium car in HNL. Should have been a Chrysler 200 or 300.
Got to the counter and was told "you've been upgraded to an Infiniti Q70". Huh? For 2 weeks? For free? ($160 in taxes). It was a fully loaded model too.
Never had so much fun driving a car... heck, the valets at the hotel were fighting over who got to park it
Seems we always get a nice upgrade when we rent from HNL. Last time they gave us a Cadillac SUV instead of a premium.
