Offered: Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (L) or a Dodge Charger SXT Plus (YG)
Chose the Charger and was given one with 1,000km. I also tried asking for the price to upgrade into the Volvo S90 T6 Inscription AWD (P4) with tons of options including a $3k sound system. I was told the price would be $100/day with a 100km/day limit and $0.20/km overcharge! The last time I drove it, I got it for a $30/day upgrade with unlimited kms on a cheap I reservation.

I rent a fair bit from MKE and it seems it's about 50/50 either no upgrade or a great upgrade, not much in between.

I like the charger, it's just the lack of Apple carplay that annoys me.

From what I could tell by looking at everything they had on site on collection and returning, they've got a few of these and they are the top car they have on fleet.
Apart from the fact it was too tall to risk putting in the hotel's underground car park (they said clearance was 1.8m and this thing is 1.78m according to JLR's website), and the awful gangster black wheels that were not to my taste, this was a really imrpessive vehicle indeed.

While I can't be mad at Hertz for following the rules of PC's only getting a one car upgrade but man... it really seems like being PC doesn't get you much unless you rent from a location with Ultimate choice.
And yes... this was a personal rental not biz.
